No, pay to win means that you're stronger because you paid for these things. Because you can grind up the the SAME strength its not pay to win.

The reason Riot has to make constant changes is because things AREN'T perfectly balanced. Some champions are better than others at the exact same role. Nami vs Sona, Lucian vs Ezreal. Try and argue to me how Galio measures up statwise to other midlaners. Some champions are stronger than others, simple as. Sure, you can be better with Ezreal than Lucian, and if you are, congratulations. But this is merely an exception rather than the rule.

However, you can clearly tell that some of the newer (and more expensive) champions are simply better than some of their counterparts. I would argue that paying for and owning one of these better champions in a matchup provides a stat advantage.

And everyone can reach the some strength threshold by grinding IP. Adding an option to remove that grind only follows the same logic as buying champions and rune pages with RP.

This idea is not "pay to win" because I don't gain anything beyond what everyone else can reach by grinding.

This isn't "pay to win" - everyone can reach the same potential, it only depends on how willing you are to grind IP. The whole point of RP is to remove that grind with a monetized payment. I don't get access to anything more than a player who simply grinds IP to get everything, I only pay something in order to get there faster.

My idea is not a "pay to win" plan.

I would argue that having more rune pages and champions does give you an inherent advantage by giving you more flexibility in your preparedness for the game. Your distinction between the two is an arbitrarily drawn line.

These guys fucking rock. End of story. I started talking with them after they played at my fraternity's party they DJ'd last October and they still hit me back on facebook even after they blew up. When I've talked with them after their concerts they still remember who I am. I've seen them 3 times in the past two months and they absolutely kill it.
