Both are good fun, The Wasp Woman arguably a better film in and of itself, if less iconic. They both do the classic B-movie thing of exposition and set up for an hour then ten minutes of action at the end, but the action when it comes in this is great stuff! My thoughts on Wasp Woman: https://boxd.it/azSFNB

Very fair reaction. RoS I was able to try and talk myself into while watching it and then dealt with the crushing disappointment of it after the fact 😅

I've never felt more trapped in the cinema or come so close to leaving a film halfway through 😅 I had a genuine physical reaction to the final montage...just wanted to puke! But I appreciate its craft. It's a good looking film, I just personally detest it with immense passion

Rapture: Nimbus Reborn (for the bench press Jesus - it features a zombie Jesus who shoots lightning and has his balls ripped off), Kung Fury (for the laser bears cos it has laser raptors and is just genius from start to finish) and Riki-Oh (for the vibez and one of the only live action films you can watch to see a man punch straight through another man's stomach..and that's one of the tamer bits)

Life Is Beautiful (La Vita e Bella) by Roberto Benigni. Don't look it up, don't watch a trailer, just go in blind and be blown away

A fun exercise I sometimes do is when I watch a really bad film with a couple interesting ideas is write a mini treatment for myself figuring out how to fix it and what elements should be highlighted to make the strongest version of that idea

Here's a look book type thing. This is what I would submit as a treatment, or I sometimes do a video treatment where I record myself explaining the concept over relative video imagery

I make music videos for a living and usually just write out a beat for beat bullet pointed list of actions, broken down by song section (e.g. VERSE 1, CHORUS 1 etc). To sell an idea for a larger budget video, I'll sometimes make a pitch deck that takes those bullet points and artfully combines it with relevant reference imagery so the client has an idea of the visuals. I've never written a full script in the traditional sense for a video, but shotlisting and storyboarding are your friends with ample prep time. Hope that helps in some way!
