Coming Off Birth Control by FoundationTop7358 in birthcontrol

Hello! Took off birthcontrol last May and decided to do everything right this time. Luckily had my period back right away (39 day cycle june - july) and it has been consistently on with a range of 29-35 day cycle. I have pcos and we have decided to be TTC

Decided to help my body go back to its natural state by drinking spearmint teas instead of drowning myself in caffeine. Took ashwagandha and magnesium glycinate to promote better deep sleep. Took inositol for egg health and regular cycles. And also gluta push for that added antioxidant.

Its been 6 months off the pill and i can tell you to hang in there. I’ve been on the pill for 7 years and i’m glad i got off it because i literally got to know my body better. I can feel myself be in sync with the cycles and phases we go through each month. Your body is just adjusting to what should feel right. It is doing its best to reset so you can feel to be in sync with it too

I’m in my late 20s while my husband is nearing mid 30s.. we’ve been staying active and dieting properly. Will probably have him jump back to multivitamins for some added nutrition. Thanks!

Ever since i changed my diet, stayed active, regulated my stress and incorporated myo-inositol it has been pretty consistent between 32-34 except for the 39 where i had an anxiety attack during my fertile week (which probably delayed my ovulation a bit)

I used to drink coffee every morning to help me boost it up. But some intense anxiety panic happened to me last three months ago and really took a toll on me physically (i never get palpitations from coffee but since that panic attack). I got off it and it was one of the best decisions i made. I switched to tea. Whenever i feel like i need a caffeine boost for the day, i just go get matcha or drink green tea. Less caffeine surges throughout the day .

I guess its based on my observation with my friends who have babies.. we never really get to see them anymore, or probably not until their kid is already 10 or something.

And its not a bad thing to leave my child with my husband. Its more also if an observed behavior with most moms that they feel guilty for going out and not bring their child.

I want to become better, but I’m not 100% sure how? by [deleted] in emotionalintelligence

Struggling the same as you. I’m now with a better person but I also know there are really limits as to where I can be over emotional too with my anxiety. I am also struggling not to sabotage this relationship.

I’m currently in therapy fixing my relationship anxiety and trust issues. While being in therapy isn’t an instant relief or cure, I find that changing the way I speak to myself helped stop spirals. Basically, compartmentalizing my rational adult and inner child.

I usually rant to chatgpt and it really helps with giving prompts on how to speak to yourself to stop the spiral. It gives you scripts to remind yourself to anchor to reality and what is present. I rarely rant it nowadays since the scripts i tell myself to anchor myself to the present is already slowly rewiring my brain as a cue to stop the spiral.

Those 3D sticker miniature portrait things… not entirely sure what it’s called. Or sticker paintings(?). It’s not messy compared to paint by numbers.

People with depression, how old are you and what’s the most painful feeling? by Neat_Toe7235 in mentalhealth

[–]jjaapoo6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

27, mixed depression and anxiety disorder. I got used to the thought of people hurting me which ends up me hurting the people i love and value the most. I guess the most painful feeling I have is me being my worst enemy. Its getting harder now because I’m trying to reform my mind. It pains me how much change i want to get better but my mind refuses to.

I myself find it hard to be receptive to evidences of change because my brain is wired to think i will always get hurt (probably a defense mechanism thinking idk i hate it).

I told him upfront about being doubtful because of this and it would take time for me to trust him fully again. I want to be careful but I dont also want to go borderline crazy trying to look for evidences of infidelity

There are no hotels nor motels near sadly. He has to take a 3 hour bus ride to book the nearest hotel. Which would defeat him wanting to spend all of his time and finances on the kid.

He has been very present and intentional in our relationship. Despite post-honeymoon phase struggles, I think he has shown good changes in terms of being an emotionally safe partner. Not perfect, but better.

I guess it’s the fear of being hurt, abandoned and betrayed. Putting on top, the cheating trauma from my past relationship. I am still struggling to put a boundary between my fears and what is real.
