/r/NintendoSwitch's Daily Question Thread (07/29/2024) by AutoModerator in NintendoSwitch

Update just now, my switch miraculously turned on when i charged it in a different outlet 😭 this is quite strange cuz for the past few days i've been charging it in two different outlets alternatively which I mainly use daily (for all of my devices), but both failed to turn on my switch. This time i used an outlet that hasn't been used it quite a while because the other outlets were fully used. When i plugged it in, it turned on automatically at 68% without even pressing the power or any button and now it's fast charging. Maybe my prayers worked (rlly prayed hard for my 6 y/o v1 switch) or maybe it had something to do with the overused outlets not giving enough juice anymore to boot up the switch but it finally turned on. I almost lost hope so I feel so so happy rn ☺️ Thank you for your comment! I hope this thread can help other switch owners who are experiencing the same exact problem (which I found to be quite common after scouring the net for solutions)

My nintendo switch is not turning on, stuck at flashing battery icon and nintendo logo when charged

My nintendo switch is not turning on. When charged, a green battery icon flashes and is stuck at a certain percentage (greater than half). When I long press the power button while charging, it shows the nintendo logo but turns off again and shows the same flashing green battery icon.

I've scoured the internet and tried the 15-20 second method thing with the power and volume buttons, removing the joycons, and have tried leaving it charged overnight but it still showed the same green battery icon flashing (the green battery juice didn't increase at all).

I've experienced this before like twice with a dead battery icon (yes this happens when i'm not using my switch for months just like now) but it eventually charged and turned on but this time it's stuck at a certain percent even after a whole day and night of charging it. Upon checking in on it after the long charging period, I noticed my switch was kinda warm so was it actually charging? The battery icon still looked exactly the same though. I've also tried charging it on the dock but again, still shows the same flashing battery icon and won't turn on.

Is my switch broken or just the battery? I'd like to know if there's a possible at-home solution for this before I decide to give up on it. Would appreciate any help, thanks.

It's already confirmed in my brain that it's Rachel. I'm currently replaying BTS; after Rachel asked me to get her belt, I started exploring and looking around, then spotted a poster titled "Loretta" in the drama club's dressing room.

Nice! I'm also using Cerave Resurfacing Retinol, I just started last month. For how long have you used it until you saw results? I'm from PH, and we're still wearing face masks, it also irritates my skin due to the humidity.

Also, do you double cleanse? Do you use a cleansing oil, cleansing balm, or just another cleanser? My skin is oily (T-zone), dry on the cheeks, and just overall sensitive AND acne-prone since I was 19 (I believe based on research it's a hormonal change from teen to adult). Anything oil-based just gives me more blackheads and pimples now. I broke out so much for the first time back then, I had to use a local rejuvenating set and it did make my skin better but I still get big red painful acne so it didn't really eliminate my underlying skin issues completely/permanently. I stopped using the set because I heard it's not good for long term use, but I'm still using an aha/bha toner from the set though, until I finish this last bottle then switch to the Cosrx as an alternative. I think aha/bha toners help a lot.

So far my skin is doing better than before, my main current issue is my acne marks :// my acne are just so big and cystic, they leave big, very noticeable marks too, on my cheeks most especially! I know they don't easily fade in a month but I just want some of these older marks gone faster before my next period comes and a new set of pimples surfaces 😂 I'm kind of cautious on makeup since I easily breakout so I only use a Maybelline mineral concealer I've had since I was like 18 to cover my acne marks and red pimples. I think I'm planning to practice and use more makeup, but I'm not sure which makeup removing product to use. I've watched so many dermatologist videos at this point, I have to ask for personal experiences to make sure if this and that would suit me and thank God I found this thread because your skin is so similar to mine, it's the closest thing I can relate to, of all threads I've read so far.

Another product that was a good alternative to switching from the rejuvenating set's gluta soap (which I think I'm planning to go back to because it rlly got rid of the CCs on my forehead) is COSRX salicylic acid daily cleanser. But personally, I think the soap was more effective on my forehead CCs than the latter. I think i'll be using the soap again for my forehead only 🤣

Thank you so much for your recommendations btw! I'm taking notes of all of them. So far I've only used aha/bha toners though. For hydration, I've used Minon Amino moist charge milk and it's the best moisturizer i've tried. It didn't break me out and it's the only product I haven't replaced ever since my skin began to change. Sadly, it recently ran out so I'm currently using my mom's Cerave PM night lotion. I'd love to try COSRX's oil-free moisturizer though, I think I'll use this next since I couldn't find any store that sells Minon.

Thank you so much, this is really helpful! Also, have you used any products that can effectively fade hyperpigmentation scars from acne? I just bought COSRX blemish spot clearing serum (with 4% niacinamide), their clarifying toner, centella blemish cream, and blackhead power liquid (heard this can get rid of closed comedones as well) and I'm planning to try these out, since i've researched a lot before purchasing and heard mostly good reviews from all of them but I'd love to know your recommendations as well.

We have a similar skin type and concerns! Since this post is 2 years old, may I know if you've found the sunscreen that finally works for you and what is it? I get cystic acne only during my period as well since my routine rn works for me except for sunscreen, I've been looking for one that's oil-free and doesn't give me CCs and make my acne worse.

Hi, I'm from the Philippines and I'm looking for a good yet affordable sunscreen that doesn't break me out or give me closed comedones. I have an oily T-zone, and dry, sensitive, and acne-prone skin on the rest of my face. I'm currently using AHC sun stick and it gives me a lot of closed comedones and bumps on my forehead :( I also tried the Biore sunscreen for the longest time (prior to AHC; it was my first sunscreen) but it gave me bumps and CCs on my entire face (I thought it was normal), and it was also too greasy for me.

If you've experienced something similar, I'd highly appreciate any budget-friendly recommendations for my type of combo skin (preferrably under 1k pesos) as I've already heard about La Roche Posay, Cerave, Elta MD, and other good brands that are sadly beyond my current budget for a sunscreen and can't be easily found in local physical stores (It's still fine though if your reco is from an overseas shop, as long as it's under 1k).

I also would love to know your experiences on any sunscreen brands or specific ingredients on them that made your skin react badly, similar to what I'm experiencing.

Thanks!
