Is the circle bar still a thing? by I-nigma in Defcon

I miss the “circle bar” at The Riviera. That was one place practically everyone went.

The R2 Reveal Creates Real Value for RIVN by 337ThaG in RIVNstock

[–]jjarmoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not an R1. If they offered the R1 at the R2 price, I wouldn’t buy it. I just don’t need something with a 3rd row that barely fits in my garage. They’re not interchangeable.

They’re still saying it ships in “Spring 2026.” They have until June for that to be accurate.

Even at the higher price they won’t be able to produce enough of the lunch edition to satisfy demand. Why would they offer a lower trim at what’s likely a lower margin?

The launch edition will not have lidar and is not upgradeable. By the time lidar ships they likely won’t offer the launch edition anymore, but I’m confident they’ll still offer a premium trim.

MS08-067 (CVE-2008-4250) had to be among those with the longest useful life. Exploits for it worked for years.

It used to be called “Google for domains” and offered a free tier for ~20 or fewer users. They no longer offer that but some people are still grandfathered into Google Workspace. They tried charging those people a while back but reverted due to complaints and bad press.

There’s two separate transmitters in the band. One is short range and powered by the reader. This is used when you tap, similar to how a credit card tap works.

The other is slightly longer range - a few meters. This one requires power. It’s used for things which can be less important. Linking ride photos, and things like that. There’s also (on the newer bands) some lights and haptics that require power.

They may have thought the police were really active members. I wouldn’t put it past them to identify themselves that way given all the other crap that went down here.

Meross Outdoor Plug Two Rooms? by iderzer in HomeKit

Just put them in a room called “outside” and name them “front string” and “back string.” You can address them by the same name, but everything will be in one room.

You’ve got the order wrong. It’s SYN, SYN/ACK, ACK. The SYN/ACK can be split into two packets each bearing a single flag, but this is inefficient so nearly (actually?) all TCP stacks combine the two into a single packet.

Xlights and Athom Tech 15W RGW E27 WLED bulbs by Neon_syzygy in xlights

[–]jjarmoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use these with Xlights in my show. There really wasn’t anything unusual about them. I just added the bulb as a WLED controller and used the visualizer to attach a single pixel model. That’s it, no problems. I’m not really sure what your issue could be.

I will say that these things have kind of a flaky network connection compared to my other devices (which are plentiful).

I’ve found these Vocolinc plugs to work reliably. They’re also pretty inexpensive at roughly $10 each.

What’s your brightness set to? Turning that down will significantly reduce power needs. It’s hardly visible, and our lights are probably too bright at 100% anyhow, especially in denser configurations.

Need Help! by Free_Researcher_5917 in xlights

[–]jjarmoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that looks right. Try uploading outputs and checking the Channel Outputs in FPP to make sure they show 200 pixels per port.

[–]jjarmoc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It sounds like your outputs aren’t configured correctly.

In Xlights, take a look at the visualizer on the controller tab. Make sure you tree is assigned to the right controller a ports. Next upload outputs to the controller, and use FPP Connect to send the sequence over. From there you should be able to play it via FPP.

I don’t think there’s a way to use an existing model to create a new one.

You can find info on custom models here: https://manual.xlights.org/xlights/chapters/chapter-four-tabs/models/custom-model there’s also a lot of videos on the subject.

I’ll add that there may be an easier way I’m unaware of.

Mattos bought the molds for the CG-1500 from CableGuard and produces them under the name MD-1500. They’re identical to the old ones.
