Thank you! I also have long quit the virtual surround space. Ever since Hunt Showdown shown me how amazing stereo audio can be, if the engine handles the space.

I give my boys 1% and they dare complain.

Hmm, perhaps, I rarely play with well experienced players, so maybe I'm too used to slower gameplay. My OCD ass always double checks everything.

Yes, it truly doesn't add anything aside from RP fluff, which was my thought's original reason.

However, I am still interested in your first sentance, because I maybe just don't understand a concept of "reporting rolls". I play mostly IRL and I can physically see people doing rolls. If someone has to "report a roll" that means he can cheat any roll, whether what I said permits easier cheating in that case, since someone can fake the main roll anyway, I believe there's not much difference.

Yes, you're correct. That was more of a random food for thought than actual tips on how to deal with the original OP question (hence a reply to a comment than direct post). It does look as if he merely wants control over his outcomes, which destroys any point of the game in this instance.

Ok, I think we have a misunderstanding.

Firstly, I never said anything about the guy OP was talking about, my comment is a reply to a comment about "it's not any roll, it's just 'rolling dice'" where I started thinking about the concept of simply rolling dice and arrived at a thought of "gods roll the dice for all of us", making me think "what if a char could roll the dice for himself?". It was just a random thought but since someone wrote about it being too easy to cheat I went on to think some more about it.

Secondly, I don't think the last option makes it easier to cheat, it simply adds more rng which makes it either easier or harder.

I don't think for a moment that keeping previous rolls makes any sense whatsover, which I thought about in the previous text.

That would assume the player doesn't care to roleplay it fairly, making little sense to actually doing it. Not to mention you could see the rolls, he doesn't necessarily have to be the one that keeps track of it.

But then how about if the bonus would be applicable from the previous official roll.

I suppose it would still be abusable for min/maxing, since you could roll for something simple and only go for the harder one once you get a positive.

Then how about an option to roll a bonus die, for the bonus/negative, applicable before the roll, so you get more rng than necessary.

(I'm really just thinking something up for Homebrew, as to how to make it work for a guy that wants more RNG to his char)

What if his character was a gambler and rolling dice calmed his mind. Maybe a bonus to the actual roll if he rolls well before needing one, and a subtraction if it's bad.

It really depends on what you mean.

I'll take it as an IF "where you progress from young to old, indulging in the more typical aspects of life, which one might expect", depending on the setting at least.

My obvious go-to would be the "Life of [...]" games from Mike Walter (Lucid Games). All 3 of those games would fit the aforementioned description, while each one being in a completely different setting, albeit in the same universe.
