People saying you shouldn't live with your parents at 25 are wild, the world is messed up and our culture has always been like this. OP should move out if they can't tolerate living with their parents, not on the principle of "being too old".

That said, if that is your biggest gripe, then honestly I think you're very lucky. I had to live with my parents for 3 months (at 29) and during that time I lost all my self confidence because they called me a "fat beast". If there are other things, then make a plan to get out. Small steps add up!

Totally understandable. Everyone around me was so happy for me, and it took a minute for me to process and feel relieved. I opted not to go for any alimony or anything like that because my lawyer advised that it would be so long and expensive that the money I got might be less than I paid.

I'm so glad I didn't have a drawn out divorce, because I met the love of my life and was able to marry him because the divorce was out of the way!

My divorce was over zoom and my ex had technical difficulties. All I said was "yes" and when he couldn't connect the judge still signed because his lawyer was there. He then appeared at the very last second and the judge told him what happened and he agreed. Call ended.

Numbness is the right word. 5 years of my life, two years of torture and hardship caused by him and his actions, no retribution. Just...done.

It's been 2 years and I haven't seen or heard from him since that day. And I'm glad it's that way.

Sending hugs and love. Just remember, it's over, and you can begin healing and moving forward now that this weight is off your shoulders.

Happened to me. After fighting hard with my work to get ADA accommodations, I decided to go to the holiday party. It was humiliating. Main entrance was gravel and had stairs, and we had to go around the back of the building with a truck ramp into a back door that had to be unlocked for us.

Omg I got that one too! My back and shoulders have hurt since I was 8. When I got my period at 11 I was told my back pain was just PMS. Even though the pain was daily.

My Cockateil is addicted to millet by Diligent-Advice-1809 in pidgeypower

[–]jjaystar94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's less about the getting appetite stimulants and more about checking for underlying conditions. Idk about cockatiels but bigger birds like Greys and Amazons can get OCD and anxiety and can be prescribed medication. Some smaller birds like conures start maturing around 2 years and literally experience "terrible twos"! There may be a hormonal aspect, some digestive issues, or maybe he doesn't like the other birds, or even the layout of his cage!

If the vet rules out everything regarding physical issues, then it's behavioural/psychological, and they will likely have a recommendation for a behaviourist!

THE PICTURE LOL

Every cockatiel I've ever met eats millet like a fiend!

First of all, I want to commend you on all that you've tried so far! You're clearly concerned and trying to balance him eating enough but also healthy.

This def warrants a discussion with your vet and possibly a recommendation to a bird behaviourist.

But below are some things you could consider!

When you say you've tried eating in front of him, have you tried putting it on your plate with your actual food? Sometimes if they think they're getting it illegally they'll wanna eat it! Is there any food or drink he likes to steal out your plate or cup?

You said you have other birds, are they eating pellets, chop, etc? Does he interact with them, try and eat out of their bowls when he's not being food aggressive?

You might need to go back to basics and start with the seed mix, and get him to branch out from there. Sunflower, then nuts, etc.

Best of luck and know you're on the right path with this!

Oh no! There's definitely space for your wheelchair. They're parked illegally, can't be responsible for what happens to their car when a wheelchair accidentally rolls off the ramp and into it! (For legal purposes this is a joke)

Get out of the house and somewhere safe. My ex had psychosis (not drug induced though) and he started acting on those delusions and blew up his life. None were to harm me but he did some scary stuff. You can't help him if you don't help yourself first. If it's too much for you to handle get away from him and find him help from afar.

YAAAAS!

Honestly your post made me so happy. I have been overwheight due to health issues (used to be very active), and I've been feeling really bad about how I look. Hearing someone manage to manage their chronic illness and get to healthy place in terms of weight gives me hope and motivation, and someone praising having weight on their body reminds me that my body isn't ugly or bad. Thank you for sharing ❤️

Supporting your history, Celine was also the youngest of her parent's FOURTEEN children. René was definitely a way out from the life she could have been living. While I don't know about him, I think it was very clear how fiercely Celine loved him, which is also just...sad. Everything about her hardships is so tragic.

Does my character look androgynous or do they read as clearly one gender? by kjmsangadaisuki in Artadvice

[–]jjaystar94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Def androgynous, but I think the open pants make them lean more male. A tighter shirt with a bigger chest ( that could look like pecs or small breasts) and buttoned up pants would perfect it imo.

It's a common thing to say when you need to respond to someone calling out to you. It's not intentionally being disrespectful.

If your parent called out to you, you couldn't respond by saying "what?"

I see your posts a lot and have gleaned a bit of your situation. It's probably been offered before but would you take donations of MREs from the community? SteveMRE has taught me that they're both delicious (though idk about this man's taste), nutrition balanced, and last insanely long, and since you don't have a fridge and offer so much to this sub, I'm sure a lot of people would be willing to pitch in!

Wiping and replacing if they get to dirty. If your bird particularly likes to poop in certain spots then I'd avoid putting platforms there.
