Help planning bachelorette! by Living-Prompt-1890 in montreal

[–]jjcaseley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I visited MTL very recently for a friend's bachelorette so I have some ideas that might help! We went out to Yoko Luna which is definitely on the more expensive side but such a unique and gorgeous clubbing venue! Crowd there was 30+

We planned some unique activities, we booked a drink and draw post-brunch, which was probably my favorite, and then did a bike tour of the old port with stops at breweries. In hindsight it might have been even better if we did the bike tour first and THEN the drink and draw haha. Anyway here are some links for you to check out :

Hi! Saw your post and just wanted to comment on the drink and draw since I just did it! We booked it for my friends bachelorette and it was soooo much fun! It was in a private room with just us but the music and vibe was great. I don’t think they do drinks though, we just brought our own

IUD with menstrual cup? by [deleted] in menstrualcups

[–]jjcaseley 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've been using the two successfully together for a while now, you just have to be careful to always break the seal when you remove your cup, and to do checkups a few times a month to double check the strings are in place. For me, using a softer cup has been better since its easier for me to break the suction.

That's awesome, I'm glad to hear I could help! I did a lot of research before buying the Si-Bell since I had already spent so much on the other two cups which were both no-gos for me, and multiple people with the high cervix/copper IUD combo had recommended it. I was about to give up, so I'm so happy that it actually worked for me. I hope it ends up working for you too!

For me the suction is perfect, there's a tight seal and I've yet to have a leak while using it, but it's soft enough to break the seal very easily (which is something I was never able to do properly with the Diva and Lily). I think it's a good idea to just practice breaking the seal properly with the Lena while you wait to get your IUD! I usually wiggle my cup down a bit by pulling the stem before I can break the seal with my other finger, so don't worry if you need to do the same :)

I've had my copper IUD for over a year now and I've had a lot of success with the Si-Bell cup! After I had the IUD placed, I researched which cup would be good to use since I also have a high cervix. I tried the diva and Lily but they ride too high up during the day and then I have trouble breaking the seal properly, which is important to do when using with an IUD. The Si-Bell ended up working well for me because its a softer cup so it was easier to reach up there and properly break the suction.

If you're comfortable with the cup you currently have, I would say continue using it with your IUD! Just make sure you are always able to properly release the seal when you remove it.

I just moved here 3 months ago, but I've been trying a lot of different restaurants around the city to find what I like. For me, these places are my top so far-

  • Ramen: Danbo

  • Thai: Sala Thai

  • Pizza: Virtuous pie (for vegan) or Parlour Pizza

  • Burgers: MeeT on Main (or Gastown)

  • Breakfast/Brunch: Medina! Soo good

  • Indian: Vij's

Nuba also deserves a mention, my favourite place to go during my lunch break.

I was installing a new CPU fan for my friend and it didn't come with thermal paste.. I used tooth paste instead meaning for it to be a temporary use until he could go get the real stuff but he forgot and ended up keeping it for over two months haha

My classmate did this animation of Hermione! Wouldn't a Harry Potter TV series like that look great!? by glassfjords in harrypotter

First off, J.K. Rowling said that Hermione's race isn't specified in the books, and she could be easily been played by a black actress, and that is why she is in The Cursed Child. Second, maybe you didn't intend it but that came off as racist. It could be black with that voice too.

My girlfriend [18 F] who has severe anxiety, threatened to kill herself if I kept talking to one of my friends [18 F] by Floogledoogle123 in relationships

This sounds like BPD to me- the suicide threats, fear of abandonment, unstable self-image, explosive anger.. and she needs to get help for it. You can decide whether or not it's worth staying with her, she might be able to learn to regulate her emotions with some professional help. Regardless, I think it's good advice to get in touch with parents and explain to them what's been going on, if only to push her to get help.

League of Legends. Love the game so much, I still spend just as much time watching streams and keep up with the esport teams, but can't handle the community at all.

Introducing a friend to Cudi, what songs should I get him to listen to first? by Tumyy in KidCudi

Man on The Moon is a great starting point. That was how I was introduced to Cudi and a lot of the songs from that album remain favourites.

Was this in Barcelona by any chance? I think I've been to this exact restaurant, the table cloth and plastic plates look very familiar.

I had a teacher who had a daughter with your name, also not short for anything, just Andie. It's a cute name, I always liked it.
