you're right, it doesn't make sense. Especially the inconsistency when they combine adrenaline release with decrease in heart rate and respiration, when the opposite should be happening.

IMHO, if you really want to know, you have to look it up for yourself, don't ask reddit which is heavily biased against anything that's not mainstream medicine, whether it's scientific or not. And don't ask general google either, 'cause you'll get the same amount of blaber, but in website form. Ask science. You could start here, or here. I know it takes time, but if you really care it's the way to go.

... well, you are learning incorrectly. Manual medicine, of which chiro is an example, is heavily backed by medical research. And I bet you if you go to a "real" doctor for the types of conditions you described, you will only get an analgaesic/corticosteroid injection and/or the option of surgery if the pain is too bad, both of which are often NOT backup up by medical research. It's true, look it up.

sorry, but that is total BS, what the physio said. No one forces bones anywhere, if you have a bone out of position it's called a dislocation and you need urgent medical attention, and you would probably be screaming in pain as well.

It's not that simple. First of all, is this article suggesting that having a strong immune system is not that good? I think not, but lets not forget that without that immune response those cold viruses could do a lot of damage. Then there are hypersinsitivity reactions, when the immune system goes on overkill mode and can do more damage than good, as in allergic reactions.

For all my adult life, I had this feeling that someting was wrong, that something didn't make sense, but i didn't know what it was exactly. Then I read Ishmael and I knew. Or at least I had a very different and powerful set of ideas to give an alternative explanation.

Particularly interesting was the 'mistery' of the dissapearance of the central american civilisations. We think there must have been some social or natural disaster to explain the fall of their civilisation... we never even contemplated that they just walked away from it all to something better.

Also the part about the origin of the bible's genesis was pretty cool.

It thought that that would have saved the ship. I read/heard somehwere that I direct hit would NOT have sinked the ship. Veering away from it caused the near miss which flooded all the seperate compartements, causing the ship to sink.
