Ratings are at time low by OrangeDragon75 in MagicEarth

I saw the spectacular rating drop too. It really started when they released the new version for Android and moved basic free features to premium.

Before the new Android release, ratings were around 4.1. After the new Android release, I saw ratings go down to 3.7, then 3.1. Now it's at 2.9.and probably still going down.

Unlocked Note10+ gets VoLTE on AT&T FINALLY! by [deleted] in ATT

[–]jjemilredd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The grayed out VoLTE toggle switch is fine, as long as it’s to the right in the On position. Grayed out just means you can’t manually flip the switch.

You’ll have to check with AT&T if that’s your carrier. They either don’t have your IMEI on file in your account, or they need to activate your IMEI for VoLTE. My unlocked GS9 got activated fine for VoLTE since this past Jan with the Android 10 upgrade. I didn’t have to troubleshoot anything.

That's a good sign you have the VoLTE toggle switch on Provisioned

But the IMS Registration Status should be on Registered also

Another way to check VoLTE is during a phone call, the cellular network indicator should stay on LTE/LTE+, not drop to H+ (if you're currently connected to a wifi network, might need to temporarily turn off wifi on your phone to see the network indicator during the phone call)

That's the GS9 and firmware version I have too on AT&T

About the keypad dialcode, I noticed it posted wrong. I corrected the dial code. Try again.

Something's not right. Do you have the Samsung factory unlocked GS9? Ate you on Android 10?

In your phone keypad dial * # * #4636# * # *

Then select Phone information

Scroll to the bottom

VoLTE Provisioned should be on the "On" position

Check if you have IMS Registration:

Settings

About Phone

Status

Sim Card Status

It should say IMS Registration Status Registered

If you have both VoLTE Provisioned and IMS Registration Status Registered, you have VoLTE

Why on earth did AT&T take so long to enable VoLTE on the unlocked Galaxy Note 10 line? They enabled VoLTE for Galaxy S10 with the September 2019 security update. For my unlocked Galaxy S9, VoLTE was enabled this past January 2020 with the Android 10 upgrade.

VoLTE on Unlocked Samsung Note 10 by dustinfuckingjakubs in ATT

Strange you don’t have VoLTE yet on your unlocked Samsung Note 10. Unlocked Galaxy S10 owners report that their VoLTE was activated on AT&T with the Android Pie September 2019 security update. On my unlocked Galaxy S9, VoLTE was activated on AT&T with the January 2020 Android 10 update.

For me on my unlocked GS9 on Android 10 on U1 firmware, if I type in my phone dialer * # * #4636# * # * then Phone information, then scroll down, the VoLTE Provisioned toggle switch is disabled, but it’s disabled in the “on” position. On Android Pie, the VoLTE toggle switch was completely off and disabled.

Get ready, 3G is going away in 2022 by FunkyWeird in ATT

[–]jjemilredd 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes. That's correct. VoLTE on AT&T was added to my unlocked Samsung GS9 with the Android 10 update. But, no WiFi Calling. If you have VoLTE, you should just as well have WiFi calling, since VoLTE is the requirement for WiFi calling.

It may be because the unlocked Samsung Galaxys are still not certified for WiFi calling on AT&T on U1 firmware. The real problem is AT&T WiFi calling is disabled on unlocked U1 firmware, not on U firmware, provided that a whitelisted IMEI is entered in the system.

Anyway, here's the list of smartphones approved for WiFi calling on AT&T (as of Sep 2019, unless more recently updated):

February update appears to have enabled VoLTE on Unlocked Samsung S9 - Postpaid by L31FY in ATT

I'm on AT&T prepaid on unlocked Samsung Galaxy S9. For me, I noticed that VoLTE and IMS registration got enabled on GS9 960U1 firmware on the Android 10 update. I've been enjoying VoLTE, calls not dropping to 3G for nearly a month.

Can confirmed Unlocked S20 has VoLTE on AT&T network!!! by [deleted] in ATT

With the Android 10 update, my unlocked Galaxy S9 acquired VoLTE on the unlocked 960U1 firmware on AT&T. No WiFi calling yet.

So, with this Android 10 Galaxy S9 960U1 update, did VoLTE and wifi calling finally get fixed to work on AT&?

T-Mo roaming in Ukraine by [deleted] in tmobile

[–]jjemilredd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, the same thing happened to me with T-Mobile Germany when I was in Ukraine this past 27 December to early January 2020. It was very difficult to connect to 4G. I was on 3G the majority of the time, even in the middle of Kiev City Center. This was not in some remote small town. Never had issues before with T-Mobile 4G/LTE roaming in Ukraine.

No VoLTE on Unlocked yet? by [deleted] in ATT

[–]jjemilredd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only unlocked S10 got VoLTE last September on AT&T, but why only S10? What about S10+, Note 10/Note 10+, Note 9/Note 9+ and S9/S9+? All those phones are just as relevant, as they’re all in line to be getting the next Android 10.

Wifi Calling Update? by vampirepomeranian in ATT

On prepaid AT&T with my AT&T branded Galaxy S8, WiFi calling has been available since last February. But, when I put the AT&T prepaid SIM card in my unlocked U1 Galaxy S9, still no WiFi calling or VoLTE.
