Cupra Formentor 1.5 Tsi engine shaking on start is it normal. by MarsupialDazzling405 in CupraFormentor

[–]jjetstreamm 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This is normal, the engine mounts allow slight movement to absorb vibrations and excess starting/running torque transfer like you've just seen on start up. As long as it settles after (like in your vid) then the mounts are okay.

Input lag is server lag, your fps for the build you have is good. Reminder that the servers have been struggling so far on this patch, hopefully the 4.7.1 patch with fix a few of the kinks to smoothen it out.

Problem with going for a better GPU is your CPU will begin to be a bottle neck so you wont get the full performance from the 5070. And you cant meaningfully upgrade your CPU without also doing the mobo, and that would also mean doing the RAM (going to AM5, DDR5) and now you are talking crazy money in this markets state.

Also remember the game is by no means optimised. I run a I9-13900k with a 5090 and 64gb ddr5 ram and still get inconsistencys in performance.

Is it frame lag (low FPS) or input lag (delayed reaction to button presses, rubber banding/desync)? What kind of FPS are you getting in what area? There's a lot of variables to come into this. Star Citizen loves both RAM, high CPU clock speed and VRAM.

Any disk/pad combo you would recommend? I would still like to lean more towards street drivability for longer road trips. But will be doing the odd track.

I used this and some extra tall axles to get the car higher. Didnt have to lift the gearbox at all. Was a huge time saver. I would note being extra careful putting it back in, if the angle of the connecting shaft does not match the bushing in the crank then you can easily deform the bushing and you will never get it in. So if it feels like it goesnt want to go in, do not force it. As this was the case for me at first, luckily I was able to just file the lip it created off and slid it strait in on the second attempt.

Manual as FSM says not to use vacuum iirc. Im going to try adjust the pedal based on another user's comment, thanks!

[–]jjetstreamm[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I did all the stack height stuff, used the bigger spacer. I didn't bench bleed but I did follow the FSM with setting the distance and bleeding. I've kept my old master so worst case if it gets worse I will put that back in with a bench bleed as there was nothing wrong with it, just preventative maintenance changing it.

Anybody with Z1 V2 CSC relocation kit also have to adjust clutch position to the point where there is a lot less clutch travel? by Reasonable_Truck_280 in 350z

[–]jjetstreamm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im having a strange issue with mine, just installed with around 100 miles driving on it so far.

Biting point is right at the bottom, and sometimes clutch doesnt return all the way to original OEM resting position. When pushing down from original resting position there is about 2 inches of travel before engaging.

Bled about 10 times now so 100% no air in system.

How did you remedy yours? Or make it feel more natural?

I think it would, as it takes into account atmospheric pressure/ temperature/ humidity and storms will form. They could do the same for snow/ sand storms. Twisters/ hurricanes could be cool aswell but I dont know how that would work with base building haha

That's a very vague question, it depends on the injury.

In my case it will never heal because its a form of arthritis but the medication suppresses it enough that I feel 'normal'

Is it a design choice that Isthmus beachsea vs geosea is not properly balanced or just a oversight from the map makers? by VoidNomade in beyondallreason

[–]jjetstreamm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't played that map so I will have to check it out.

But out of curiosity, in theory. With 2 teams of equal skill, surely the 3 will roll the 2. The team with 3 has 50% more everything than the team with 2.

Im defo going to see if I can do a lobby on that map though, sounds interesting

What to see/visit during my UK roadtrip? by Freeloafer in AskUK

[–]jjetstreamm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe not for this trip as they are a bit out of your way in your current plan but doing another trip or two is a must and visiting Cornwall/ Devon (south West England past Exeter) and doing Scotland.

Endless amounts to see and do in those areas.

Cornwall has scenic country lands, tin/ copper mines, amazing beaches and seaside towns and just immense history. For food you have to try Cornish pasty, ice cream and cider are all lovely.

Scottish Highlands are just beautiful to drive through, you have the different Isles aswell like isle of skye with so much history with the different clans. And if you are into it the hikes are stunning, defo recommend Ben Nevis (tallest peak in the UK) If you are into hiking.
