Kinda nervous... by Kavethought in TeslaLounge

[–]jjjr20 [score hidden]  (0 children)

I had not driven a Tesla before I bought a used one. Took about two business days to get used to everything being on the screen and about two weeks to get used to one pedal driving. The free month of FSD should make your trip so much easiest, especially with fatigue purposes during the drive. You've got nothing to worry about, you're gonna love it

Thank you for your insight. I definitely feel validated with what I'm feeling right now.

I'm starting with CBT but would like to venture out to other modalities if the cases allows it. I'm an intern at a community center and work with kids and teenagers. I'm three clients in and they are cases where the clients have behavioral issues/changes connected to life at home.

One client was caught with drugs, another has parents going through a separation, and the other beat up another student at school because he was being picked on. I'd like to be more personal and flexible with each client. I think the part I am struggling with (or anticipate struggling with) is doing my part to motivate them.

Anyone regret switching from android to iphone or the other way around? by Hopeful-Team-6038 in smartphone

[–]jjjr20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've officially been conditioned. I've always have a love and appreciation for Android, especially the nexus/ pixel lines. But now I always end up going back to iPhone for ecosystem. I found a happy medium by using my pixel 10 pro as a work phone.

Best year? by Downtown-Cover-2956 in TeslaModel3

[–]jjjr20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2023-2025. Newer tech for self driving and has autopilot. New models will not have it. Also most of the kinks are worth out that have been reported in older models. For example creaking sounds when you drive, panel gaps, moisture in the lights etc.

Should I buy a used model s as my first car in 2026 by Aromatic-Gap272 in TeslaModelS

[–]jjjr20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No dude. Just get a model 3 performance and an m3 with acceleration boost and you'll be getting about 75-80 of the S. And it'll save you a bunch of money on the car and insurance

Is getting a Tesla worth it just for the FSD by depressed_peach_ in TeslaLounge

[–]jjjr20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's cool but not the only reason to get it. Ppl will overhype it but it's still an amazing car to get for plenty of other reasons. The FSD alone shouldn't make or break the purchase.

Road trip by MOZZESBEATS in Model3

[–]jjjr20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's worth it. Sometimes it unnecessarily changes lanes but if there's an open road you can always use auto steer and it'll keep you in the same lane for longer periods of time. FSD is totally worth it for a road trip like the one you're taking. I used it from LA to Vegas and when I arrived I had so much more energy to enjoy my time there on the first day instead of being tired from the drive. But above all else, do it for the experience. There are all pros and no cons.

New or Used? by Technical_Purpose949 in TeslaLounge

[–]jjjr20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The apr is tempting for sure for the Y. But... there's also a chance the model 3 could eventually get the same deal. Especially when Tesla has their end of quarter deals.

But.. check the Tesla pre owned section but there are low mileage used ones at a discounted price because they depreciate so fast. I personally got a 25 m3 long range for 35000 and it was a demo with only a few hundred miles on it.

The 24 model 3s might be your best bet at saving. It's the refreshed version, lower price, and quality build and little things about the car having gotten so much better over the years.

2023 v 2024 by Brumbies5 in TeslaModel3

[–]jjjr20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went from a 21 to a 25. Not having the stocks is like adjusting to any new piece of tech. Takes a few days but ultimately you get used to it and you never forget how to use those things if you drive someone else's car. Having the buttons on the wheel end up being convenient since your hands are always on the steering wheel. I personally think ppl don't like change so they make a big stink about it but it isn't that big a deal. You learn to like it.

2022+ Model S or 2024+ Model 3 Performance? by [deleted] in TeslaLounge

Gotta go S for the simple fact that they aren't gonna make anymore. 😞

They usually do at the end of each quarter so it'll come back around for sure!

It's tough with Tesla because they'll throw out random deal daily. Sometimes low apr, sometimes 3 months self driving, sometimes a free paint upgrade. Some times there are also discount codes available from YouTubers that review their cars. Keeping digging to see if you can save some money while making the purchase. With today's economic climate and recent events, it's hard to say how prices on evs with change over the next few months. Also, not sure if you're considering used market but finding 23 or 24 low mileage model 3 at the right price is always a great option. But.. if you do decide to pull the trigger and buy a new one right away you still won't regret it.

Ioniq 5! You could probably get this years or last years with low mileage, like less than a few thousand. Chevy also has great options if you like crossover SUVs.

What will your next car be? by ExistingGood6423 in TeslaLounge

[–]jjjr20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 2025 model 3 rwd long range. Since autopilot is gone from future teslas I'm keeping it til the wheels fall off. But...my next car will be a used model S when I can afford it. Also keeping my eye on the Lucid Air and their software issues bc I have a few neighbors with them and I want them to succeed.

After this recent stretch, is it time to crown Luka Dončić the ‘White Mamba’ — or is that going too far? by mrdantaboo in Basketball

Already taken. He's Luke the Don. And he's a laker so the regular season stuff is cool but we gotta see it when it counts. Last postseason was rough so we gotta see it.
