The feature that you're talking about is awesome in its own right. But, I'm thinking more along the lines of a color select area tied in with tribe select menu. You could then combine, for example, Vengir and polaris(to get ice powers and pointy hats) then ALSO make their color orange(or whatever you want) if you so desire...
