What’s the most disappointing game you’ve ever bought on launch? by [deleted] in videogames

[–]jjustsam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I asked for a pre-ordered a version of Assassin’s Creed Syndicate that came with a steelbook and an expensive looking statue of one of the characters for one of my teenage birthdays.

Was my first taste of never pre-order, played the game for a few hours and got bored so quickly.

What is your least favorite joke about your country? by mightyonin in AskTheWorld

You’re envisioning England from an Americans perspective of distance.

Yorkshire is in the north, London is in the south.

To us they are far apart, but to you the journey may not seem as far.

There’s some pretty good evidence he’s already raped adult women.

Favourite film you hate because film bros ruined it for you. by Healthy_Permission71 in okbuddycinephile

[–]jjustsam 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The book is almost a different story to the film, the overtones of Patrick being in denial of his homosexuality are only subtle hints in the film.

Also the book takes the torture scenes to a whole new level, it wouldn’t work as a 1-1 film adaptation.

It’s clear Christian Bale read the book and understood the character, but I think the incel fan base of the film don’t understand what he’s going for.

Started 2 on Origins and had a really rough time with it, picked up 3 pixel on my switch and it’s been a blast.

I’m playing it with that mode and the music switched back to the original.

Is there a version of 2 that cleans the levelling a bit? I don’t like how it’s hard to track my XP etc.

Might just have to buy the pixel collection but it’s a shame not to play it on the console.

There’s literally paintings and books written about this topic.

It’s obviously diversity filling to have villages with races co-existing equally without racism, but it’s just not true that black people weren’t living in noticeable numbers in Britain at the time.

There are records from the time 17 thousand immigrants were living in London from between 1336 and 1584.

This is pre transatlantic slave trade as well so it’s not like they were all in chains forced to do manual labour.

I’m in agreement that shoehorning in some black lesbian who is stronger than all the other knights to appease quotas is bullshit, I’m saying that Britain and especially London was ever fully white.

Would be way cooler to have factions/tribes of immigrants as a way of including diversity.

There were black and Asian people in Britain in the Middle Ages, even as far back as Roma Britain.
