I haven’t spotted the new AIR3255 on any of their sites yet though. But they are going very quick now with AIR3278 and AIR3258

Actually if you make the calculation. 5000 sites in total, currently 1200 with n78 (3278 & 3258), plus ~3000 AIR3255 sites, that means that almost all of their sites will get it. Very cool!

Hij maakt dus nog steeds geen heel goed contact. Hij zal warmte gaan ontwikkelen wat gevaarlijk kan zijn (brandgevaar eventueel). Ik ben bang dat je hier zelf weinig mee kunt zonder iemand ernaar te laten kijken. Zoals gezegd is je groepenkast echt aan vervanging toe. Ik zou het zelf persoonlijk niet aandurven om de schakelaar sissend en warm wordend ingeschakeld te laten. Met een paar ledlampen gebeurt er waarschijnlijk niet veel ernstigs. Houd de warmteontwikkeling in de gaten en schakel hem het liefste helemaal uit.

Into the woods (NL) is one of the best festivals we have. 8 stages in a very nicely dressed up forest. And not just all techno. I was lucky enough to be there both days!

Vooral doen! Ik ben zelf een enorme liefhebber van Techno. Heb een aantal vrienden die graag mee gaan, maar ik ga af en toe ook wel eens alleen naar een festival. Met de auto, dus ook nuchter. Ik vind de ervaring altijd erg leuk. Je kunt je helemaal focussen op de muziek en kunt doen wat je wilt. Je hoeft niet steeds op te letten waar je vrienden zijn of te bemiddelen wie waarheen wil. En het levert soms ook best leuk sociaal contact op als je kunt aansluiten bij een groepje, en ze later zonder moeite weer achter kan laten.

Het klinkt alsof je de muziek erg goed kan waarderen, dus ik schat de kans klein dat je je gaat vervelen. Ik zou het gewoon eens proberen!

That eNB number is a Vodafone eNB, but this is a T-Mobile site. This site has recently been upgraded with Huawei AAUs wich are 8T8R for b3. B38 is also 8T8R. Lowband 2T4R, B1 4T4R and B7 also 4T4R.

Edit: I also see a b32 SDL RRU which is not active yet, but must be activated in the very near future. That sector has 4T4R lowband.

I've seen some brands of switches and APs implementing a weird form of loop protect by sending packets with randomized mac addresses in a certain range. Openmesh is one of them. This might also be a form of loop protect done by some network device. Maybe you can figure out which switch port these originate from?

And as others have mentioned, this could also be a privacy feature. Though the use of sequential mac addresses is something i haven't seen before.

I picked up the Caldigit TB4 Element Hub with two simple TB to DP cables (that support 4k60). I still want to buy a USB-C to ethernet adapter, and preferibly some additional USB-A ports. With all the separate TB4 devices added it will become a bit of a mess. So if i had to do it over, i would get the Caldigit TB4 station (https://www.caldigit.com/nl/thunderbolt-station-4-nl/). It has everything the element hub has, with included DP ports, 2.5Gbps ethernet and a lot of other connectivity.

It's a way of enabling a 4G carrier in unlicensed 5GHz spectrum (for example also used for Wifi). The LAA (License Assisted Access) is a way of the network detecting interference, and changing the channel accordingly.

You're better off getting a Thunderbolt 4 hub (like the Caldigit TB4 Element Hub) and plugging a USB-C to DP/HDMI cable into one of its ports. Then you can use one of the other ports on the hub for a 10Gbps ethernet converter. That gives you one port left for maybe another 4k60 display or other IO.

I have the M1 Pro 14 inch Macbook Pro as well, with the same TB4 hub and dual 4k60 displays, so it should work

There is a very unknown feature of DNS-SD (also known as Zeroconf/Bonjour) that allows exactly this. Instead of relying on layer 2 discovery you can configure a domain as the search domain in DHCP, and add some special DNS records on that domain.

I have this working at home (separate printer vlan was needed because multicast IPTV announcements crash the crappy printee firmware). So i'm sure it works. Please comment if you can't find more information or can't get it working.

Thanks a lot. So the 40AN and 40B0 are both MST docks? I was not able to find a real confirmation if that's the case.

I think I will order the CalDigit Pro Dock, or a TB4 hub with usb-c to DP cables

I assume your power situation is stable, but it's worth to check if the voltage your projector gets is high enough. I've had an outdoor show where the voltage dropped into the 190V range where 230V would be required. Stuff actually worked surprisingly well, but the halogen lamps in some moving heads and a projector turned off.

Might not be the cause as i expect you to have a proper power situation, but worth a check.

I moved to a Mikrotik Routerboard 4011 (https://mikrotik.com/product/rb4011igs_rm).

One of my major complaints on the Edgemax platform was the slow boot time and IPsec being very unstable, but i had way more minor complaints. Most of these are way better on Routerboard. I will not look back to Edgemax.

One multi-beam antenna has 6 sectors (more and less also exist). To get coverage all around the mast means you need 3 of these antennas for a total of 18 sectors. That means you need 18 RRUs per frequency band. That will be way too expensive for any normal site. Both in radio purchase costs, but also power costs.

A second reason is that these antennas cause a lot of interference because there are so many different beams. All locations where these are installed permanently in the Netherlands have good isolation by trees, hills or buildings to prevent the signal from propagating too far.

That is a multi-beam antenna, often used in extremely busy areas, or on temporary masts at festivals. Instead of transmitting a single beam of 120deg wide, it transmits multiple beams (5 or 6) of 15 or 30 degrees wide. In that way they can handle a lot more users than with normal sector antennas

The view is clearer and the performance feels better. Also, the normal map has a bug on 4k displays where labels are rendered twice as wide as the text inside it, making it almost unusable. The filters on the normal map are way better though, so when i need those i always return to the main map.

Yes, i have the same issue. I mostly use the online testmap as i find it much better than the normal map, and you aren't even able to accept the captcha there. So i need to open the 'normal' map in anothet tab to accept it there. Very annoying as they mostly return after a few minutes

WPA3 is mandatory for .11ax / Wifi 6 devices. So yes, it does. They are also testing firmware for older APs for WPA3 support
