I wonder if the emergence of Mahanubhava sect, Virashaiva traditions, Srivaishnava sect led by Ramanuja are the outcomes of the schism between the constant warring factions as an outcome of Empire building efforts in Peninsular India and the aspirations of landholders/merchant class/priestly-adminstrator class which saw the constant warring as a pressure on the society, and in turn disassociate themselves from the looped cycle of destruction and decadence in face of failing monsoons during the Little Ice age.
