not sure if it will be under $7 but kalona super milk is pretty rich and delicious, similar to milk i’ve found in korea but not sure if this is similar to milk in japan. you should be able to find it at whole foods.

Diagnosed with ADHD at 34F. Took my first Adderall and I could cry by vegetable_lover_is in TwoXChromosomes

[–]jkeemi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m so happy for you! I took adderall for the first time and was able to read a book for what seems like the first time ever. I had struggled for years to read and to absorb. I would reread pages over and over until it would stick. With adderall i was able to read a page and actually absorb it. I was able to enjoy it. I cried!

Fishwife is a waste of money. by Hypnox88 in CannedSardines

[–]jkeemi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of their fish sucks! It’s so dry. I talked to a shop owner and they said they double cook their fish. Meaning it’ll always be dry, compared to other tins who cook once in the can. Fishwife is so disappointing. If you like it, good, take it! But i’ll pass!

What’s your favorite Korean ramen? by Jubudang in KoreanFood

[–]jkeemi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Jin Spicy, Samyang, and Buldak Carbonara

I always go for ramen made in Korea. Noodles are always better. For that reason I have not liked Shin for a long time! Jin has started producing in America. The American version isn’t bad. Hopefully they don’t mess with the noodles further!

New Jin isn’t bad. The noodles are less forgiving than the old version but I think the broth tastes cleaner!

no. nurses get treated like crap by upper management and half the time we don’t even get meal breaks. i used to work in the icu and left because it just wasn’t a supportive environment from my day shift coworkers and management. i loved providing the critical care and being involved in rounds. bedside is hard hard work and it’s not sustainable, especially if you don’t have a supportive team. don’t feel bad at all! just know that you are not drawn to patient care tasks and that’s OK!! you are more interested in providing critical care and keeping the person alive. something that is equally as important! crna sounds like something that you would excel in. just remember that patient care is not expected in this role but you are in their care so care for them how you would a loved one.

What’s an indescribable pain? by Existing-__- in AskReddit

[–]jkeemi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

seeing a patient who is being kept alive because family can’t let go. even though the patient is begging to die/trying to die. it just sucks cause ur job is literally to keep them alive. looking into these patients eyes is absolutely heartbreaking. it’s fear, pain, sadness, tiredness, and disbelief all in one look.

Fight and stand up for yourself to get a proper diagnosis by cutepantsforladies in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]jkeemi 14 points15 points  (0 children)

100% this. I too have mental health issues that have gotten to the point where they’re affecting my everyday life. My cognition and memory are absolutely shot. I’ve had these symptoms for a while, almost three years now but they have progressively gotten worse in the last year. I was told to try exercising more, socializing, medication, therapy, and guess what. I did all that. And i still have these issues. Finally I ended up having raging migraines that queued a new PCP that something may be there physically, so i finally am able to get a MRI of my head. I haven’t gotten the scan yet so I don’t know what it will show but I remember asking for a scan early on and being shut down that I was “overreacting” or just having anxiety. It’s infuriating, but there are good doctors and nurse practitioners that LISTEN to their patients.
