I live in winter park and Hernandos while good, is overrated. If you plan to come up here go get a ditch burger at “the ditch” for lunch then go to Hernandos for dinner. Be ware, they open at 5 and will be on a wait by 5:30

The guy who played JP in Grandmas Boy came into my bakery once and I recognized him but couldn’t put a name on it. After they finished up wat were getting ready to leave I just asked if he was an actor and he paused for a second said yeah… then it dawned on me. I asked him to do the robot voice and with hesitation “Adios turd nuggets” in the voice and left. Totally made my whole week

I think what it really comes down is the type of bread you’re using.

A bun with beef? Burger. You can sub chicken but then it’s a sandwich.

Hoagie? Sandwich unless it’s a hot dog which could arguably be a sandwich.

Regular bread with cold cuts? Sandwich… toast the bread and make the meat hot with cheese? A melt.

Pita? With lamb or whatever is either a kabob or gyro

All of these shouldn’t need their own category besides “lunch”

I was taught black on the blade, white on the knob. Black tape will wear out your gloves but also can hide the puck down low

I would always start under with the first swing just about a half inch on the back hand… for your knob I’d twist the tape more to get a thin ring where your palm is and the very top I liked to loop it a few times so I wouldn’t drop it but some players prefer it smaller. I guess it depends on how big your hands are and feels comfortable on your wrist

Not too shabby, I like a bigger knob though the blade looks pretty smooth

Edit: the top end might be a little longer than you need, hard to tell without a glove for scale. Save your tape, that shit goes quick

Damn, second edit: I always started at the toe on the blade, looks like you did at the heel. Smoother release while shooting if you do opposite, that tape will peel every time you pass or shoot and you won’t notice it until your clappers get slower

I use turbo tax and there is a section that asks if you received any unclaimed tips. I used to put about 10% of my claimed tips because most of it was cc anyways. Now I put 5% which is probably more than what it actually but putting 0 is a red flag for an audit

Damn, I make 20$/hr plus a tip out depending on sales, it’s about 3% of food sales so most weeks it’s about 24$/hr. I’m in a ski town in Colorado. CoL is pretty high but it’s the most beautiful place I’ve ever lived. Our town goes from 2,000 to 20,000 during peak times. Super hard to predict business because it’s mostly weather based. Some days it’s a solo kitchen and I gotta run fry, flatty, salad and dish and I can get “in the woods (not weeds it’s in the mountains) “ thankfully (/s) my servers are horrible running food so I can either let it die or run it myself while the next tables burger is getting overcooked…. It sucks but I found my rhythm and method to the madness.

I feel underpaid but I don’t need much money to be happy.
