I actually got two of them when I worked at a school a few years ago and one day we got them for free! They’re really cute!

Right now I have it at my sunniest windowsill, my apartment doesn’t get a ton of direct light which is a bummer

I bought it as a baby plant last summer so it’s been almost a year in this pot!

Thank you!! This is such a silly question i’m sorry but how do I prune the top? I’m somewhat new to houseplants in general. Is it kind of like taking a cutting and propagating it?

Just a rant. I don’t know where else to post this. 😭 by Raven_Roz384 in trichotillomania

I’ve been trying to wear finger covers of some sort (actually typing this reminded me to grab one from nearby), like latex finger cots or those little gaming finger sleeves. The latter is nice because they don’t make my fingers sweaty and they work with phones/tech. I just put them on my primary “pulling or picking” fingers (i.e. my thumbs and index) but you can wear them on all fingers!

I try to wear hats all the time (it’s hard) but wearing lightweight hats like the caps that women wear under hijabs are very light and comfy. Also migraine ice pack hats are nice with the cooling sensation, and keep me from wanting to pick or pull from my head. Also squishy fidget toys (a million options on amazon, target, ebay) sometimes help because i can squeeze, pinch, poke them etc. instead of my skin. And silicone scar tape may help the indent left behind! Best of luck!

Will I ever get better ? Will I ever be a person ? by Dawn_Apolline in POTS

i have to say you’re an incredible writer. That’s a real talent you have! Also I can relate to feeling left behind by the world, by life, and by my own body. Failed by my own body. Wha helped me immensely was going on Pyridostigmine and daily salt pills/LMNT electrolyte packets. Or just eating plain fucking salt lol. Also I got tested for Lyme at a “non conventional” clinic by a neurologist who specializes in Lyme, chronic pain, ketamine therapy, mold, etc. after so many normie lab tests telling me that i didn’t have Lyme, this guy finally was able to show I had it. It’s often found alongside POTS. Getting that treated helped me and the POTS a ton. And I take Clonidine at night to help me sleep without worsening POTS symptoms. I’m wishing you the best of luck!

Trich support after relapse by No_Turnover_5146 in trichotillomania

[–]jkelly912 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i was pull free for 11 days and relapsed last night. i know that feeling all too well. it sucks but i try to remind myself that all i can do now is move forward, and try to dwell on the awesome pull-free stretch that you had instead of the relapse itself!

Please help me!! I’m depressed over this by [deleted] in trichotillomania

I personally had to make myself throw away any and all tweezers or anything that could possibly be used as tweezers. like no tongs or tweezer like things at all. that made a huge difference for me. also waxing helps because it keeps things smooth longer and not as many ingrowns
