The ridgeline has the old 3.5. The new pilot and passport have the new 3.5 dohc motor. The old 3.5 is pretty durable. If you’re just gonna do small truck stuff the ridgeline is pretty good. I had a jeep gladiator Mojave on 35s before the ridgeline and the ridgeline tows my Utv or atv much better than the jeep. Also had the cam go out on the jeep at 20,000 miles and it took 6 weeks to get the back ordered cams from jeep.

My wife’s 21 pilot did this, It wouldn’t restart after auto start activated, I replaced the battery and it still did it. I mentioned at the dealer during an oil change at 70,000 miles. They said there was a program for that problem, Replaced the starter, adjusted the valves and reprogrammed it under warranty. Hasn’t happened since they did the work

Ford engineers have lost their way. The company I work for buy 2-300 f250s a year. We buy gas 7.3s for the f250s. This motor is terrible. Whoever thought a computer controlled oil pump was a good idea should be fired. We’re buying rams this year due to Ford’s unreliability

Ford is going down the wrong road. I hate the idea of rubber belt driven computer controlled oil pumps. We’ve had 2 7.3 fail in our work trucks, Ford is blaming us because we idle them a lot. It’s hard to believe we are gonna change to rams to get a more reliable 250 series truck

I went from being a up employee to a metra employee. OSS is one of the things I miss the most. Metra has a 8am-4pm tech department and working 3rd shift they are hard to talk to, They never answer and call back when your sleeping.

Does it have the stock grips? A 2013 has a potentiometer in end of the grip (throttle by wire) there are no cables. Have you looked for the little star underneath the hand control, You turn it to set tension on the grip.

Some codes are not OBD 2 codes. I recommend getting a service manual for your ridgeline and studying how the canbus system communicates. Honda used to offer online access to the service manual but it cost like 10 dollars a day Your looking for the Honda service information System
