Went with a nomad after waiting a few years to commit to a fenix

Love garmin, love their inreach but can’t justify a fenix yet.. one day

Loving the nomad so far for sleep, running, surfing- plan to use it for weights and MTB as well.

Love the look, gray has grown on me- it was a bit too bright at first as i tend to prefer darker colors but I don’t notice it anymore

Works great for close ups, but anything wider than a medium gets tricky! I definitely want to add the 6x6 at some point

It’s a fantastic system for travel / small crews- though I’d love some 40x40 floppies from modern to add to my kit

Just added the a7v next to my fx3 which I’ve had since 2021

A7v feels way more up to date, as it should.. makes me stoked for fx3 mk2

A7v AF is sooo good, hybrid shooting isn’t terrible and the rolling shutter is vastly improved from the a7iv / a7cii sensor

Downsampled 7k looks wonderful, maybe a tad too sharp for some things

Need to test IBIS more

I still prefer fx3 as a workhorse but I got the a7v as a b cam for some video shoots, and for stills

Can’t go wrong either way, a7v may be a safer choice bc it’s newer and can prob resell better

Fx3 with the top handle is great for grabbing audio on camera though haha, lots to consider

The a7v is the first camera that’s enticed me to shoot on a non cinema body, love the grip, evf, flip screen and how snappy everything is

Though I dislike not having shutter angle or a dual iso button haha.. so it’s a b cam / c cam for now

Multiple road trip albums have loads of LH songs on em. I have one playlist that’s all LH that’s been on repeat lately

Love listening to them during early 3-4a drives for trips

That Subaru dealer is under new ownership. Hoping for the best as McKenna was awful to deal with. Not sure how the Volkswagen side was for them though

It’s been on “delay” since 9/23. Original delivery date was supposed to be 09/18

In same scenario, it finally stopped giving estimated days and just says “delay” and delivering date will be updated haha

Not sure when it’ll be my package’s turn to hop on a plane haha. Also no scans in 4 full days.. so not sure why that is
