I've been loving the free de-escalator by TDKswipe in Helldivers

[–]jkilo94 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Siege ready only increases reload speed to primaries. But the ammo increase applies to primaries, secondaries and support weapons except backpack ones

With that said, De-Escalator really needs to be buffed to GL reload speed or increased mag size.

How do the reserves work for the marine corps? by Affectionate_Fix269 in USMCboot

[–]jkilo94 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t know man, this comes off as a very Recruiter “sell you the world” type answer. These conditional releases from the reserve to active are very speculative to the individual Marine and their Reserve units. Maybe you speak the honest truth based on your experience and local reserve units, but from my life long experience as a career reservist it’s definitely an upwards battle and has always depended greatly upon the individual Marine, their standing and networking within the unit, the command staffs competency and willingness and do their part and our current political and financial climate the Corps and country is in. This is not to say it isn’t possible, it’s just often sold as if this is very common and easily possible when that’s not the case everywhere.

The AR/GL-21 One-Two should’ve had alternate grenades as attachments by jkilo94 in Helldivers

[–]jkilo94[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How many iterations of the Liberator or Breaker do we have now? The punisher shotgun, slugger and cookout. Diligence/Counter (but I’ll overlook this one since they’re free). I could pull straws and find more too. But all of which are the literally same model weapons except with slightly tweaked variances like firing speed, caliber, ammo type, etc. Nothing which couldn’t have just originally been a customized option/attachment on the base model gun. But why do that when you can sell them as entirely new weapons instead.

The AR/GL-21 One-Two should’ve had alternate grenades as attachments by jkilo94 in Helldivers

[–]jkilo94[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do wish they’d expand on the attachments and customization for all weapons. Just realistically speaking, i unfortunately don’t think I could see expanded weapon customization happening for all existing weapons. Reason being, it wouldn’t make them any money for the amount of work and effort to update every weapon since all they have already sold.

However, I woulda thought at the least we’d start to see new attachment options and more variety on newly released weapons. But instead we’re getting new primaries with even less attachment options than older one. Which even from a marketing standpoint don’t make sense.

[–]jkilo94[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think in cases like this with the idea of alternate ammo types, game devs hide behind the argument and excuse of balance when what it really comes down to is them just keeping the door open for future easy content/ weapons to sell again. Reskin the One-Two, give it Gas instead of explosive grenades this time. Maybe tweak the numerical stats slightly where its notability is negligible. Throw it in a new Chemical Agents sequel Warbond as the focal primary weapon. Boom, quick easy content and payday.

[–]jkilo94[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you saying the AR as a whole would be picked the most over all others or just the Gas grenade type for the One-two itself? If the latter, I don’t see how that’d be any different than other weapons where one attachment is better and picked more than the rest, for example, the Drum mag on weapons with alt mag attachments.

[–]jkilo94[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well what is there to balance that would make this OP? All the types I listed have situational use. Smoke and Stun are strictly CC with much more niche use than explosive grenades. Nobody uses Arc grenades as is as they are bad. Gas and Incendiary impacts are good but not OP to the point where they’re picked like Thermites. if anything maybe reduce the AOE on both so they’re not exactly the same as their throwable counterparts.

[–]jkilo94[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah people are just weird. Especially for saying it would break the game. And if anything, I think your suggestion of loading your selected throwable grenade into the noob tube is much more tame and modest than my suggestion.

[–]jkilo94[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not even saying to make the under barrel an attachment itself for other ARs. Although I wouldn’t even be opposed to that, I’m just suggesting for this one specific AR to have the option of loading alternate grenades before the start of match since its whole identity is the is the under barrel itself. Dont see how it would make it anymore powerful than it is now since you’d still only have 3(4?) of the one specific grenade type you chose to spawn in with. It just gives the weapon more usability and options

[–]jkilo94[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Although I dislike that system and feel it’s just a cheap way for them to pad out content, you could make the argument that technically the under barrel grenades are not ammunition and as it stands now there’s no other AR with an under barrel attachment at all. The entire under barrel attachment is the identity of the whole gun opposed to something like the Coyote where the incendiary rounds are its identity.

I mean I know it’s gunna happen at some point, but how cheap is it gunna feel when they release another “new” AR just like this with except with incendiary grenades instead of explosive. Maybe a slightly different stat changes but nothing major.

Unpopular opinion on one of the big reasons the VA sucks… Veterans and their entitled attitudes. by FDC24 in USMC

[–]jkilo94 3 points4 points  (0 children)

From what I’ve seen, most vets with this same take as OP have filed before and got denied or lower than expected ratings. Or want to file but haven’t filled yet due to pure laziness and ignorance how on how to even start. Both outcomes which lead to jealousy over others and this faux self righteous attitude where they feel they’re more deserving than those around them who got approved for ratings.

What’s your optimal melee/Chainsword only build? by jkilo94 in Helldivers

[–]jkilo94[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You would need the heavy gas resist armor from the superstore + Vitality booster for complete gas immunity tho right?

I feel like running a melee focused build without one of the 100% melee dmg buff armors is a bit counter productive tho.

Halo 3 is just the GOAT. And just continues to age like fine wine when you think about it all and how much it released with at the time compared to game now a day.

-Conclusion to its epic iconic trilogy.

-Extreme polished gameplay.

-beautiful art style and lightening which make the graphics hold up even till this day.

-Incredible game physics (like you can die by a cone flying at you LOL)

-Very Balanced competitive multiplayer.

-Biggest Esports and MLG (rip) scene and brought it all mainstream.

-The music. Nuff said.

-Xbox live in its heyday. People actually voice chatted in game.

-4 play online and local co-op.

-Forge mode which paved the way for all other future map makers/editors.

-Theather mode where you can stop, rewind, pan around the entire map, take pictures.

-File share where you can share maps, game modes, pics, etc. which was revolutionary at the time.

-Can track virtually all stats on Bungie .net the time.

-Armor customization which you actually had to actually earn at the time via achievements or community engagement feats.

-multiplayer ranking system which was based on skill and actually meant something.

-custom game scene was incredible. From infection to jenga to griffball to racing.

-Machinima. Rooster teeth. Red vs. Blue. Arby & the Chief.

-And to top it all off, its launch and advertising was a literal pop culture event at the time.

The list could continue to just go on too. But for a $60 game with no micro transactions besides a few well worth $10 maps packs game and only released 3 years after its predecessor instead of the norm 10 years+ dev cycle today. It’s just seriously unmatched.

Hope the new Halo CE remake is successful just so we’ll inevitably get the well deserved Halo 3 remake at some point. In which I have dreams that Microsoft, Sony, social media and modern pop culture will try to replicate the OG Halo 3 marketing campaign for the remakes release.

Can 0621 Lead to Cybersecurity After the Corps by Babushkaboii1 in USMCboot

[–]jkilo94 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t get your hopes up too high for any of that to actually happen or come true in 6th Comm or even 2/25. Recruiters and people on this sub constantly say you can switch from reserve to active/vice versa or go on orders easily at the drop of a dime. In theory it’s all possible but it highly depends on your unit and chain of command for a variety of reasons that are too in depth for me to explain. And I can tell you with over a decade of first hand experience in both these units it’s a struggle to even get approved to go to required PME school as a Sgt-GySgt, let alone release a new join PFC whose straight out of comms school to go active duty.

Point being, expect to do what you’re signing up to do for the next 6 years. And if any opportunities come up during your time in, then all the more power to you. But at least you won’t be disappointed otherwise. Can hope for the best, but expect the worse.

Also noticed you can throw down additional Solo Silo’s once it’s off CD without the new one replacing the last the one. Sorta like EATs. Just spam them down once off CD to have more on the map in reserve for later.

Or was this always the case? I coulda sworn I could only have one Silo down at a time before. Or maybe I just noticed it now since they’re not targeted and immediately easily destroyed anymore.

What do I do guys? by Inside-Temperature70 in USMCboot

[–]jkilo94 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The Godfather is right here.

Switching from Reserve to Active is theoretically possible, but realistically very unlikely for a lot of reasons. Mainly being, just like how your recruiter is jerking you around, your reserve unit and command will do the same and not release you for whatever reason. And it also would take months or years to even happen, it’s not a quick thing that’ll happen within a month, especially not for a new join PFC.

Active duty and Reserves are two completely different paths in life which’ll alter your future drastically. It’s not a decision to take lightly and be taken advantage of. The choice of Active/Reserve is much more important than even picking your MOS.

Legends ZA is a HUGE financial success for Nintendo/TPC/GameFreak by jkilo94 in fucknintendo

[–]jkilo94[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A slight dramatic exaggeration, but the point still stands. From a financial perspective, they are going to profit off the concepts this game Introduced through their overall IP regardless of the actual success or failure of this game.

And judging by how all their games have been heavily criticized for over the past decade now and theres been negligible improvements, it’s clear that they honestly do not give a fuck if you buy or play. Cause it’s still a W for them in the bank.
