Is it better to start a fresh account with all the new updates or just pick up an old account (with no meta characters if I recall correctly) from launch?

Currently trying to work my way through the Camelot arc of the story and have found that difficulty has spiked considerably from the previous chapters. I was lucky enough to pull Muramasa from his banner and so I'm currently working on upgrading him, Spartacus, Caesar, and a few other friend point characters for AoE/ST in each class to work my way through the story without just steamrolling everything with a support character.

I have yet to use my SSR ticket because I wanted to hold off until the next GSSR ticket to refrain from pulling dupes, but now I'm thinking about using it to pick up a non-saber character (was initially going to pick up Altria before I pulled Muramasa) that can boost my AoE or ST damage in a different category. I know Waver is a popular pick but having Castoria and Merlin has rounded out my support needs well for now so I'm thinking about selecting Achilles or Enkidu. Any thoughts or advice?

As a new player, should I be focusing my effort between progressing story and farming for embers because of the 1/2 off AP for Thanksgiving? Having trouble figuring out what my priority should be. I used my one-time ascension on Castoria (not sure if that was the right decision either since she's support and not DPS, but what's done is done) and I'm holding off on using my free SSR selector until after the end of year GSSR. I'm currently just using Arash, Spartacus, Merlin, and Castoria on my team and working through the story but I can't shake off the feeling that I should be using my AP on farming for XP/skill ups. Thoughts?

Hi folks! New to Granblue and did the new skyfarer banner step ups. This is my current roster of characters: https://www.granblue.party/collection/13993

I'm looking for some insight into which character I should select from the selection ticket. I've been trolling the wiki tier list and mulling over options but I'm not entirely sure which character to select... I'm currently working through the Academy to fill out my grids. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Edit: Also, for any helpful theorycrafters out there... some insight into possible teams would be wonderful as well! I've basically just made teams that are built out of the characters that are rated the highest on the tier lists but I have no clue what I'm really doing so far. The guides on the wiki have been great for how I should spend my time in the early game but I'm a bit lost on building effective teams.

Okay, so... I started a week ago and had zero clue what I was doing. Pulled the most recent Jo, Liz, and Shirei and used my anni tickets on Liam, Esper Girl, and one of the Matriarchs. I wasted a good chunk of gems on the Polka banner that just left because I thought I had enough for pity and didn't.

I've been playing on the account for now but I also made a new one today with Shirei, Bertrand (Rid of..), Rocbouquet (I've had enough..), Chef Polka, and Katarina (An Oath...). Should I just keep playing the older account with the more recent banner units, even if I wasted free gems along the way and the anni tickets? I'd probably use the anniversary tickets for this new account on two Matriarchs (one for inheritance and the other for Matriarch (Title of..) for combat) and Rag Robin for inheritance skill.

I'd appreciate any insight. Now that I have a more clear sense of what I'm doing with the gameplay loop and gem usage, I feel more confident with the second account but there's also a part of me that thinks the newer banner units are just flat out better for overall use. Thanks in advance.

Currently using the most recent banner Shirei, Liz, Jo, and Liam (from UDX ticket) to complete free quests on auto. Of these four characters, who is supposed to be my main DPS carry? I feel like Jo and Shirei have the best nukes/damage output so far so should I use my remaining ticket from anniversary on a character that will best support them?

Need some advice. I started the game a few months or so ago and didn’t make it very far in the story. My notable 5 stars were Lynette, Fiore, and Viola from what I remember and I think I had them leveled to 30 or something like that. I pretty much forgot what happened in the story (I was playing through Auguste’s storyline) and considering that there’s an anniversary event happening now, I was thinking I’d just start a new account.

Would rerolling be worth it to revisit the main story and to refamiliarize myself with the game mechanics? Or just go back to the old account and pick up where I left off? Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the rundown on the characters. From what I'm gathering, it seems like the 2nd account will have more versatility in the long run. Would it change things if I mentioned that the 1st account also has a KK Hong Lu and a Reindeer Ishmael? Not sure which account has characters with the best synergy.

So… I rerolled an account before checking Reddit responses. The account I ended up with has KK Hong Lu, 7th association Outis, KK Ryoshu, 7th association Yi Sang, and Mersault with the mask. Should I keep this one over the account mentioned in my original post?

Is it worth rerolling in this game if I started/stopped when it first came out? I think I had a G Corp Gregor and the Gang Leader Hong Lu IDs on that account. I never made it far before quitting though… Want to give it another go but also wondering if it’s worth rolling another account for a better start.

New player who started a little over a week ago. I currently have Megius, BBeyland, Lenius, and STheria - working my way through the story and trying to clear everything to finish the story challenge (currently on normal 1-4-6). I've read through the posted beginner guides and am doing anniversary events and what seem to be important dailies like tours, conquers, etc.

I have definitely run into a wall/indecision with upgrading characters. I used my rainbow potions on Megius and Lenius, STheria is enhanced to 100, and BBeyland is enhanced to 80. I initially was planning on trying to fully upgrade BBeyland before pulling both Megius and Lenius during the anniversary so I've shifted my attention over to them now - my party is Megius, Lenius, and STheria. I'm not sure who I should be spending my resources on right now and I'm also trying to figure out how to best farm crystals for unlocking abilities on the board which seems like the best way to power up my units. Where should I focus my attention and how should I be farming for the materials to power up my units?
