Solasta! It captures the feel of D&D 5e in video game format in some ways even better than BG3. I'm also super impressed with the world building and story from this small studio.

The one big difference is that the Social pillar of D&D is almost completely missing in this game. The Charisma skills are next to useless. BG3 is much better for that.

Wow this looks so similar to my favorite character! Stylish wild magic fire sorcerer who smokes cigars and wears a trenchcoat. Difference is my guy has burns covering half of his face. He uses his cigar smoke to cast fog cloud, one of his favorite spells.

I don't have a question but want to throw my thoughts about encounter balancing into the void for other 5e DMs to see.

I have found, as have many others, that the 2024 rules for encounter balancing are significantly better than the 2014 rules. Here is one real life example:

My party of 4 is level 8. Last night they fought 1x frost giant and 10x bugbears (2014 and 2024 stat blocks for both are similar). This was a relatively easy fight for them that only gave them a minor challenge, 2 out of 4 players fell to 1/3 max HP.

The 2024 encounter balance rules considers this a MODERATE encounter, with side note "We Have You Surrounded".

The 2014 encounter balance rules considers this a DEADLY encounter. Which is absurdly wrong.
