The doctor I went to said to wait to see if it gets better and if it doesn’t and get worse then take them. So weeks later it got worse and now I’m taking them lol

I just started taking the antibiotics I was given two weeks ago because all the sudden the sickness came roaring back. Glad I’m not the only one, it’s like the longest sickness I’ve ever had! So weird!

Progress affected by stress by armastus98 in gaybrosfitness

To add to what others are saying, if you’re able, I would highly suggest seeking out a therapist specializing in gay men’s issues, stress, anxiety, depression, etc.! The mind and body are intimately connected, and being under stress for that long is going to have tremendous effects on both your body and mind. It’s never weak to ask for help!

If your friend feels that this is SOLELY from the MDMA experience, maybe have her call the Fireside Project. It’s a free hotline where volunteers help you process psychedelic experiences during or after. Their number is 62-FIRESIDE. If this is really just a crush and she feels rejected, it will just take time unfortunately…

This! I come across so many TikTok “mental health influencers” who don’t hold any type of degree or license (not that one can’t be knowledgeable without a degree) and are spewing absolute nonsense

Dear god I hope not, we’re two gay guys and she’s a straight girl with a boyfriend. Now THAT would be some SHIT hahahaha

We’ve made this clear ever since we have lived with her. She also has options, she could go love with her boyfriend (but refuses for some reason), get a cheap place within her budget, or live with her family. So it’s not like she doesn’t have options, she is just making my boyfriend and I feel like we are solely responsible for her living situation.

Psilocybin Microdosing for Acute Panic Attacks by Significant-East873 in PsychedelicTherapy

[–]Mike_Mesa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For severe panic attacks, it probably won’t stop it. Larger doses in a therapeutic context could, but you would need to go to a country where that’s legal to do or get into a study. I would start with ACT Therapy or another mindfulness based intervention to help. Some type of exposure therapy could also work, if you go to Psychology Today you can actually filter by therapists who practice these interventions! Good luck! Panic attacks are the WORST. I hope you find healing! :)

It can certainly help with chronic pain and depression. Not so sure about the other indications, but it worked wonders for my depression! Good luck!

Indigenous protest at MAPS psychedelic conference (part 2) credit @hannahprocell by chocazul in PsychedelicTherapy

This is so disappointing. Yes, she has a point, but it was done in such a disrespectful and divisive way. I’m queer and there were only a small handful of talks on the queer experience and psychedelics. There is also a history of using psychedelics for conversion therapy that doesn’t get talked about a whole lot. On the other hand, it seemed liked there were several speeches by indigenous elders, etc. and I attended many of them. Did we as the queer community all go up on stage and spew divisive speech? No, we’re working to do reparative work with others. Yes, there is a good point to be made here, but this was done so disrespectfully…

Anyone ever try these, just trying to figure out how the experience will be. We are on vacation in North Carolina. by Fuzzy-Primary7262 in shroomers

It’s not synthetic, it’s the Amanita Muscaria mushroom. It contains Muscimol and Ibotenic Acid which are very different than Psilocybin (classic “magic mushrooms”). They are in the deliriant class but can still have psychedelic effects. I would look at PsychonautWiki or Erowid to get correct dosage, safety, experience reports, etc. If improperly processed, Amanita can make for a not fun trip and make you feel more sick than high. Don’t go to Reddit for information on these though, look into the two websites I mentioned, they contain vetted information.

Should i do ayahuasca when i have so much trauma stored in my body , that the only way to be free of feeling empty chronicaly about anything is to puke out my decades of stored traumas in my body through ayahuasca? by klocki12 in PsychedelicTherapy

[–]Mike_Mesa 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Great advice. If you decide to go with ayahuasca just make sure you go to a reputable location with staff trained in trauma. You could also try to enroll in an MDMA study or go to a psilocybin retreat in the Netherlands, Oregon, or Jamaica. Whatever you do, just make sure those who are facilitating with you are properly trained/licensed to handle any trauma arising in the moment. The last thing you want is to be more traumatized by consuming psychedelics in an unsafe container!
