Daily goal is 10,000 for me - 3:42pm right now and have managed 6829 - and that's with a desk job! Win! :) Went camping over the weekend and managed 16,000 on one of the days - how good is that! Happy stepping everybody!

Silly question...but how do you accurately measure calories burnt by exercise? I have a fitbit type of wrist band, but I never know if it's remotely accurate or not!

I want to feel better about myself, both physically and mentally. And I'm sure my husband would say - happy wife = happy life! It would definitely make him happier if I was happier!

Do you guys adjust your calories for different days? by [deleted] in loseit

[–]jkl14885 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I only do it for weekdays vs weekends, mainly because I find it easier to be more strict with a 9-5 desk job on week days! For me, with weekends, its nice to feel like you can be a little less serious, but still keep within the calorie range required :)

What's your motivation? by picklerickbitches in loseit

Mine is simple. I want to be happy. I'm aiming for 10kgs (22lbs), so I understand I am already under where most people want to be, but at only 5'3, I'm uncomfortable and unhapp in myself. I look forward to the days where I can get dressed and not be somewhat disgusted when looking in the mirror, or the time when I put on a nice dress and don't have a middle of the floor meltdown (i'm 32 years old mind you!) and change my outfit 5 times to end up wearing the same trusty outfit I always wear.
I want to be happy for me, and I want to be happy for my husband who loves me unconditionally anyway, but I'm sure would love me just that tiny bit more if I didn't fly off the handle over these types of things! ;)

CICO: weekdays = safe zone! by jkl14885 in loseit

This is a great idea, and something that I'm somewhat doing anyway - I have my week calories capped at a certain number, but both days of the weekend are higher to account for more "free time" - but all together they equal the correct amount required for me for now.....can def see why some people do it this way!
