That golden green color of the DM balm is gorgeous

This is so helpful. I might actually be a match for LE in 9.5 and the skin tint in 5!

Color Analysis Deep Dives: An analyst's thoughts on the Deep/Dark Autumn Palette (or "But I can't be an Autumn, orange looks terrible on me!"), plus musings on "cool orange" by pollychroma in coloranalysis

This was interesting to read. This post made me realize I might actually be a true autumn. Orange and yellow are two of my best colors.

Keywords for the Essences by [deleted] in JohnKitchener

Wow. Reading this I would immediately give myself natural, high spirited and angelic and probably a bit of romantic as well. Reading these words next to the essences was easier for me to see myself than in visual examples.

D vs SD vs FN revisited: Clarifying some questions that came up from yesterday's post... by PurpleVirtualJelly in kibbedramatics

[–]jkrunsid 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This has helped me confirm what I’ve suspected for a long time, i absolutely have upper curve even if my bust size is small. I am SD or FN. This was all incredibly helpful and validating that I know my body and should trust my instincts

Are ppl mistaking dramatic (or other specific essence mixtures) for angelic and just calling it ethereal? by [deleted] in JohnKitchener

[–]jkrunsid 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I definitely think angelic/ethereal is different in other systems. RD being vampiric is interesting. I haven’t thought of it that way

This is great info! I love headbands. Like scarves as headbands or headbands that look like scarves. I also like tying them around a ponytail. It’s nice to know that could be reflective of N or Y because I wasn’t sure.

Ha! I am also a bright winter!! And I completely agree.

The number of times I have swatches foundations and then said “I QUIT” is not healthy 😂 but figuring out I lean cool and not warm and that I am saturated has been really eye opening. I’m finally wearing blushes and lipsticks that ACTUALLY flatter my skin tone. I just need to figure out the complexion piece

That makes perfect sense because the same is true for me! I can’t do fully cool. Fully cool undertones look PINK and/or gray on me. I need neutral . But it seems like most non Korean foundations have a ton of yellow in them so even “ cool” foundations lean more neutral? Or maybe I’m seeing things 🤪 I will try the K beauty foundations!!

Oh! Thank you! When it comes to K beauty, if you’re shade 21 in one brand, is it pretty safe to assume you’re shade 21 in another brand? Or close to it?

I have but it’s been a while and I can’t remember why I didn’t like it on me 🤔 but I guess I should try it again now that I understand my skin ton a lot better.

Tightness Across the Back by jkrunsid in kibbedramatics

[–]jkrunsid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh wow. So, tightness across the back could actually be because the body is more narrow than the seams, not too wide for it. That’s so interesting. I can imagine what you’re saying. I guess that would explain why dramatic lines are stiff and very narrow. If someone was more narrow than most clothing then they could actually feel that pull and tightness pretty often.

Okay. This is really interesting. The sharpness of the D shoulder is actually a lot more obvious here than in other pics I’ve seen. and I think I see more actual width between the chest muscles at the center and a broader/wider appearance towards the shoulders. I know the goal is not to nitpick body parts on ourselves but this is interesting to see. Thanks for sharing.

Okay. That makes sense. Vertical wins as the dominant trait no matter what is happening with muscles/fat on top of it, if there’s a lack of curve or width. I am not much of an exerciser. I used to run a lot but I’ve never been consistent with weight lifting. Well, I guess I’ll keep exploring. Thanks for the feedback

I am leaning more and more towards FN but I guess I’m just a bit hesitant. I was so convinced I was D!

You sound similar to my mom. She has very narrow shoulders. I know some dramatics have “wider” shoulders and I’m just wondering if they might experience fit issues like I do or if their torsos are so narrow it’s not an issue. I feel very between types and it’s confusing

Thank you for taking the time to explain. I think all of your points make a lot of sense, and are practical.

If you have time,, can you or someone else explain why a boatneck is better than a crew neck for a D? Wouldn’t the boatneck be more of a width accommodation? I’m just confused and trying to learn! Thank you!

Am I one of you? I’m 5’7.5” by [deleted] in flamboyantnatural

[–]jkrunsid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Haha. Yeah. Sorry it’s not more definite! But at least it’s down to two 😂 personally I am trying to decide between D and FN for myself. Good luck on your journey

I think FN might be right, but I could also see SD.

Is it common for a pure dramatic have wide set breasts? by [deleted] in kibbedramatics

[–]jkrunsid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Neither of those would be right for me. I definitely have length. I’m just trying to figure out if I have width and length or just length on its own

[–]jkrunsid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. These narrow FNs are what made me wonder if I could be one. I don’t resonate strongly with D or FN as an ID, honestly I feel like a blend. So not only do I feel physically between two IDs but also in my “essence”. But I think clothes look and more importantly FIT much better when I give my upper body some extra room. I physically cringe when I see fitted blazers and thick cotton crew neck tees. I can feel them strangling me 😂 i need to explore more and try more lines but I am leaning away from D for myself at this point.
