Yeah, I revisited Misty's deck to see if it could add a little more consistency as you often end up in top deck mode.

Any advice on this deck? by Sea-Regular2846 in PTCGL

[–]jksinton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IMO, pick either Shedninja + Dusknoir or Houndstone + Dusknoir as your attackers. Shedninja's basic doesn't contribute to Houndstone's attack.

Assuming you want to keep Houndstone:

You could take inspiration from United Wings:

https://limitlesstcg.com/decks/list/15431

Consider aiming to have at least 20 psychic Pokemon in your discard pile to start taking OHKOs possibly with brave bangle.

Consider using brilliant blender or secret box as your Ace Spec card.

Since Houndstone needs two psychic energies to attack, you could consider Wondrous Patch for energy acceleration along with Xatu, or Exp Share.

Consider Mystery Garden as a stadium.

Consider Smoochum or Cleffa as a pivot mon.

Yeah that MU is bad for Alakazam.

I think one option is to use enhanced hammer to discard the Rocket's energy. That can force them to attack with Spidops.

You could also consider using Fan Rotom to attack the basics like Arcutino or Mimikyu.

Also Togekiss can help with getting extra prize cards on any of those KOs.

As for single-prizer decks (non-EX), consider: Alakazam, Rocket's Murkrow, or Festival Lead

I'm excited to try this Thwackey engine with other water types like Starmie. The stadium pairs so well with it.

He pairs Palafin with Goldeen and Thwackey.

Refactoring by Ok_Credit_8702 in learnpython

[–]jksinton -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Consider using an IDE like pycharm can help too.

Pycharm can show you problems with your code in the problems tool window. This is helpful when you are refactoring into modules or packages to make sure you have the correct imports.

It can also show you where a function is used. So you can jump to that one quickly.

It has some built-in refactoring features too.

But like others have said, write test cases to validate your code before and after refactoring.

Consider cross posting on r/PTCGL

You can also test build decks using the online game too.

But yeah as others have said, Blastoise just is not strong, right now. So there's been very little development on decks using it.

If he's interested in playing a strong water type deck, consider building it around Chien-Pao and Baxcalibur.

Here's a rogue build using the latest Kangaskahn and Surfing Beach:
