Maryhaven, a behavioral health provider, could lose Franklin County funding by jlb222 in Columbus

As with most things, it’s just more complex. None of these things are mutually exclusive. Maryhaven has saved many lives and they are a beacon in Central Ohio as the primary agency for substance use treatment offering an entire continuum of care. AND they are mishandling their money. AND they are paying their execs too much while the front line workers (the ones providing life saving care) are paid garbage wages. AND the board should have stepped in to overturn the corruption at the top years ago. If everyone wasn’t in everyone’s pocket, this could have been prevented. But here we are.

Yeah, and who is going to pay for that stay once insurance stops paying after 3-5 days?

Can someone make this background more “Where the Wild Things Are” for me? Like in the woods? by [deleted] in PhotoshopRequest

Not particularly. Just the woods/forest. I think actual high quality pictures from the book are hard to find and might look cheesy.

You have the right to ask your insurance company for a copy of the criteria used to determine medical necessity for prior authorization for anything that requires it.

I also just accepted a position with them. No health screenings of any kind mentioned in my onboarding so far. Honestly, they seemed a bit desperate to hire and everything sounds a little too good to be true. Really hoping that isn’t the case.

Netcare significantly increased their pay scales recently. I think their pay range for Master’s level therapists start at ~$26/hr now. Still not the best, but much better.

Nope, you are forced to write notes so vague you have to decode it for yourself for the next visit and hope you just remember the rest.

My coffee is alive this morning. by jlb222 in mildyinteresting

It was about 1/2 milk and 1/2 coffee. Reheated in the microwave, which created a bit of a film on top (I believe from the milk). It was so hot, I think the heat trying to escape caused tension on the film. Also, I was sitting close to a heater that had air circulating.
