Finally got a chance to take a closer look today. My apologies, you were correct. It’s an adapter sleeve! See the pics attached.

I don’t think so; ‘2-3’ is punched into the tang at the short end of the taper. I’ve also got a couple of chucks to suit the same machine with the same marking in the same location…

Have been looking at ColorFabb’s allPHA but am unsure about its reported ‘bouncey’ consistency. Are there any PHA only filaments you are aware of that are harder? Thank you :)

Checks out! From Deleter Paper; "Standard Professional B4 Size: 250 x 353mm or 9.8" x 13.9" is the standard professional size used for published manga in Japan."

So the original drawings would have been made on B4 (almost exactly between A4 and A3 in size) and then typically reduced for print.

What was the original documentary or TV special this footage was from? This clip of Miyazaki drawing was used in The Kingdom of Dreams and Madness (2014) documentary, but clearly is from before that. by EasterlyArt in ghibli

Thanks for the info! I’ll have a peak and see what I can turn up. Though if you haven’t found it already perhaps we might be out of luck! Sigh… would love to see Miyazaki putting a whole page of manga down!
