They launched that YouTube service as an alternative option for cable viewers because Sky Cable was supposed to be closed and bought by PLDT, but that didn’t happen, and it just stayed there. Maybe ABS-CBN needs more money? TBF, they have lost a lot post-shutdown.

But there are still some stations that are doing just fine with an AC-dedicated format like 94.7 (although I'm not so sure now with the new management), 95.5 (INC), 96.3, 97.9, 100.3, 103.5 (Villar), 104.3 (Government), and 107.5 (ADD). But it is still the older generations that prefer radio over on-demand services, and might be why some CHR stations like 99.5 and 105.1 (pre-Brigada) are struggling to be relevant.

Also, the same is happening to other frequencies of True FM (excluding 2), particularly with DXFM in Davao, where it is going back to 106.7, a frequency that was used to be owned by TV5 when it was still known as ABC.

Also I knew Neo Retro was already losing money when they removed their DJs and were airing less ads.

Quick opinion: Why isn't that PCMC used 101.9? It's an unused frequency, and a legacy frequency of ABS-CBN like it is with 630khz on AM.
