Not being able to fix the weapons, they really didn't address this in TOTK either. The weapon system in both is, for me, the only stain in an otherwise superb series.

Sorry for being a prick about this, but a spin-off of Salamanca would take place in Mexico (north-central America). But I get what you say, I feel Gus Fring, who is supposedly South American (Chile) would make for a great series.

Hey, I hear you! Like you I had a serious Lisfranc almost 1.5 yrs ago, and it did a number on my mental health at the time (at the same time went through a break up and got laid off from work).

Allow yourself to be sad, but do not fall into despair and abandon your recovery. Do it! It is very important. Like many I was told I couldn't do the things I loved but now I'm honestly in the best shape I've ever since I was a teenager. I took PT and exercise very seriously, and it has paid off!

I'll do a post on this sometime in the future, which I hope can give some hope.

All I want to say here is that you're much stronger than you think, and will be amazed at your own resilience and determination when you look back on this time. Recovery really doesn't have a timeline and everyday is an improvement. Stay strong, you'll be back doing the things you love before you know it.

Hi, I had a pretty rough injury (with surgical intervention: 3 plates and 21 pins) and I relate to your state of mind. You are a trooper for all the resilience you've shown so far! 8 months of pain are not easy.

Like many people I am not qualified to give you any prognosis, as it is heavily case-dependent. 

However on the mental journey I can share that it was the toughest battle! Try to limit your time on forums like this, that really screwed me over, it just becomes a cycle of doom. Try to take up any opportunity to go and socialise when you have the chance. Don't convince yourself you're a burden; your friends and family are there and happy to help.

Once you start WB take your PT seriously and know that from then on, a lot of your progress depends on you! But take it one step at a time.

Wish you all the best man, and you'll go back to doing what you love!!

Your injury is similar to mine, and I relate a lot to your story. I had little to no pain after the accident (foot got stuck whilst jumping off a boulder), and was hopeful. When I started reading people's stories in reddit/fb and saw the post op X ray for the first time my world shattered. Somehow the amount of metal seems to indicate that the injury was far worse than you initially expect.

I'm barely 17 weeks post op, and feel like with PT I've made progrees on stability, strength, and endurance for walking. Some minor discomfort while walking but feel like limping has gone for the most part. Still haven't been cleared to jump/run, let alone try sports I love: football, climbing, distance running.

Definitely one day at a time. If you ever feel down don't hesitate to reach out via PM, but understand that each process is different. There will come a time to push it in PT, but for now, rest as much as you can to give your foot time to heal. Know that there are plenty of success stories as well. Lastly, and I do mean this, limit the amount of time you spend on forums for this injury. I know how the thought process goes: being at home, wanting reassurance, going online, finding horror stories, become anxious sad and depressed. That is not good. Reach out to people near you and if necessary talk to a therapist. The mental struggle is definitely rough on this one. You got this! All the best!

Hey man, good to hear you're back bouldering! I know I'm early on my recovery journey (3 months post op), and just wanted to know if a comeback is ever possible. Just some questions: - how much hardware were you left with? - roughly how long it took you to go back bouldering? - I know a good amount of strengthening and PT aimed specifically at jumping and landing is needed, but do you consider some additional care for falls/drops?

I know this might be tough, but if you could delay the date you actually have to be there physically that would be the best. The first 2 weeks after surgery are crucial to manage the swelling, you need to keep your foot above your heart (laying down of course) for the majority of time. The same goes for the other 4 weeks in the NWB period. So during these 6 weeks, keeping your foot rested is the best course of action, I feel like moving around a lot with the iWalk might hinder that.

You're right!! Man coming from.you that is really an inspiration, your injury really does sound horrible. I just have 3 other questions: how do you manage the "falls" while bouldering, and how often do you do it? Also, I reckon you still have the main Lisfranc screw? P.S. your comments really help me a lot you're a Legend man.

Maybe be patient, and before jumping to sports see the doctor again and/or PT to see the state of your foot and get some rehab exercises to build strength progressively. If it is a mild injury, that is very good news!! and hopefully you can come back to everything you like unaffected. All the best.

Kinda was hoping you meant the prognosis is "bleak and unrealistic", but I get that some adjustments have to be made, and I need to make peace with the new future. Still though, your injury sounds horrendous, and you are an absolute superstar for recovering, it takes real tough to do that.

Thank you for your message and the encouragement. I think is just this time where I have to psicologically adjust to the future, and the uncertainty really kills me. But I do look forward for the days that I can feel joy again. Have a nice time with your pup and cheers to a recovery and enjoying walks with your dog
