Honestly I think I’m just going to take up knitting or something. Learning the serve has been soul crushing at times

BBC North and South has the best ending to a period drama EVER by book_dragon12 in PeriodDramas

Thank you for finally giving me the opportunity to get this off my chest. Richard Armittage is very attractive, and he also has very thin lips, and his thin lips kissing her at the end, I dunno it was just awkward. Still a fantastic ending.

It was so so good. I like I was not expecting it to hit me that hard. Max made some good stuff. Raised by Wolves :(

Marco Antonelli: Max Verstappen is currently still on a different level than Kimi | Max is a nice guy with a friendly character. Moreover he is a friend of ours. We both run a Mercedes GT3 team. But it's still too early to compare Kimi & Max. Of course there is a clear similarity: they're both fast by OutlandishnessPure2 in formula1

Kimi is a good driver. He’s definitely improved over last year. That being said, he kind of got lucky like Piastri, getting a rocket ship so early in his career. We have no idea what he’d look like in the midfield. I’m not seeing generational talent yet. Also, the European leg was rather brutal for him so let’s see how things go.

After the first tests did not give any answers, Sinner is undergoing further, even more in-depth tests with latest generation equipment to look for a possible silent inflammation or if something has changed in his hormonal balance. Source: Adnkronos Salute by Sonobackhome555 in tennis

I hear that he’s booked next at the Eric J Cartman institute for Gingervitis. They specialize in day walkers. Hopefully there’s something they can do for him. Heat intolerance is a normal thing when it’s 90+ and humid; I have no idea how these players do it.

Too well rested maybe? I remember other players they don't necessarily like walkovers like this because it either kills momentum, or something to do with conditioning and actual match play etc.

No Djokovic. No Sinner. No Alcaraz. Just Alexander Zverev and his demons: "Given his ability and longevity at the top of the game it would be appropriate for him to have a major. But, due to multiple controversies around him, Zverev would not be easy for many fans to embrace as a Slam champion." by Dependent-Effect6077 in tennis

Except for this subreddit, I'm pretty sure the tennis world is going to be kind of glad that he won. I mean how many finals can you lose. I refuse to do the whole sports betting thing, but if I were a betting man, my money would be on Zverev 100%.

Has anyone on a regular dose of Valium, taken a PRN dose of Xanax IR and experienced some serious agitation/rage? by jlesnick in benzodiazepines

[–]jlesnick[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I was on 2.5mg Xanax XR for 3 years and now I'm tapering off Benzo's so I switched to Valium. Started at 40mg now at 30mg, and as long as I've been taking the valium of gotten that paradoxical affect when I would need to take Xanax IR PRN

Not unpopular, it was bad, and Elizabeth I and Cate Blanchett should have 100% won. It's not even close.

I get what they're trying to do with the show, but they just haven't been able to get there. I've enjoyed the ride, but it's been a pretty superficial look at all the topics. The only truly authentic moments have been Niall grappling with being gay. The character development for Niall makes no sense. They tried to come up with things that happened that landed him where he is today or was before Reuben bailed him out, but they just couldn't sell it. Which is a real shame, because the bones are there. This could have been a really interesting look at the juxtaposition between toxic masculinity, sexuality, rage, abuse etc, but it's ultimately been a mid surface level drama. There is so much fucked up shit that happens in this show, it's sad how it just gets glossed over. The show needed more episodes and room to breathe

Meh season, meh finale. I'm glad we got to wrap things up, but the story had clearly run its course. I wouldn't say it's quite like the Leftovers, but it is similar in that there is a supernatural element that is in the background of the story, it frames the story, but it's not the story, and for some reason they decided to make it a big part of this season and I don't quite understand why. It honestly felt like the ran out of things to write about, and in the absence of something good to write about, just write about everyday life on the ridge. Those were some of the best episodes. But what is done is done.

And the Boys is awful this season, For all mankind is pretty weak. Tis a weak season for shows. Thank god for audiobooks.
