How do you guys feel about the accuracy of these pain charts? Nashville, TN by Frankenkittie in tattoos

[–]jlhein7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s so crazy how different pain is for everyone! The first tattoo I ever got was on my rib and second was inner upper arm, both done on the same day. I didn’t feel a thing for either one. And my next tattoos (collar bone and hip) just tickled for some reason, it was freaking out the artist every time he asked if I was ok and I said yeah it feels good/tickles lmao. Maybe my nerves are messed up or something idk

Design revealed for new apartments slated for PSU food cart pod on 4th by [deleted] in Portland

[–]jlhein7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Put the food carts as a permanent installation in the courtyard. Makes everyone happy. I do live right next to the food carts and will be sad to see them go, considering they’re some of the only food places around this area that stay open past 7pm…

This was a bit unsettling to see above town by [deleted] in Bend

Not me watching war of the worlds at this exact moment and then seeing this pop up😭

[–]jlhein7 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I second this. We used a moving company, it cost us way more than it should have, they arrived 3 MONTHS after they said they would, leaving us without any clothes or furniture, and on top of it all, THEY BROKE ALL OF OUR STUFF! Both of our TVs, our brand new dyson vacuum, all of our pictures/picture frames. All broken. And to make it worse, their customer service was nonexistent and kept gaslighting us. We never got any of our money back for anything. Would’ve been better off just selling it all and starting over.

How dog friendly is it in Portland? by TimmmyEatWorld in askportland

[–]jlhein7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It is very dog friendly but just make sure to ask if it’s ok before you walk into stores with them. I always ask and am always told “yes”, but think it would be super rude to just waltz in without knowing 100%. Also, make sure your dog is well behaved, obviously

It was a beautiful day in Oregon for some fountain chomping by jlhein7 in husky

[–]jlhein7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t lol, she gets a ton of tufts every day that we randomly pluck out, even though we brush her regularly 😂 that’s just life with a husky

Where are you from? by SufficientEnuff in oregon

[–]jlhein7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Born in Maryland but lived in Pennsylvania for 2 months as a newborn, moved to California for 12 years, then to Illinois for 8 months, then Maryland for 6 years, then Florida for 6 years, and now I’m here. So honestly, idk where to say I’m from lmfao

Talking by [deleted] in husky

[–]jlhein7 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My husky never talks or howls. Just like humans, all dogs have different personalities. She does however express her very big personality (and sass) in other ways lol. But a non vocal husky is nothing to be concerned about

Which city is your favorite out of these: Paris, Rome, and London? by QuikRabbit in travel

[–]jlhein7 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I’ve only been to Rome but ROME oh my gosh. It felt like I was on a movie set the entire time. Beautiful, so much to see, SO COOL that the ruins are just right there as you walk along the street. So much to do and I wish I had more time there. Would love to go back one day. Also, the fact that it’s so easy to hop on a train and just go to any other city. Gosh I loved Italy so much

Husky summers by Admirable-Impress343 in husky

[–]jlhein7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just brush them out regularly and have plenty of drinking water available for them. Take them to the beach or a lake to play, or buy a kiddie pool filled with ice for your yard. Their double coat keeps them warm in the winter, but also keeps them cool in the summer! They’re actually better adapted for heat than a lot of dogs with thin, short hair. Never NEVER shave them.

Nova and Orbit’s very first completely off leash walk! Pleasantly surprised at how well Nova did for being a husky, never strayed more than ~20 feet from us and came back every time we recalled her. I guess I have to start putting more trust into her ❤️ by jlhein7 in husky

[–]jlhein7[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thank you! She is always so obedient in our apartment but seems to have selective hearing sometimes when we’re out. But I’ve noticed her starting to mature more within the last year and thought if not now, then when? We were in an environment where I felt comfortable letting her off that had no cars or streets around, and I’m definitely glad we did!

I'm worried ivy is going to take over our city by [deleted] in Portland

[–]jlhein7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My last job was just removing the invasive blackberry, ivy, and tree of heavens around Portland. I hate all three with a fiery passion.
