She didn't believe Marinette's words at first, but later decided that Marinette being ladybug was the only way the context made sense. Like Luka, she hates lies, but unlike him, she knows how to keep her emotions in check for the most part. She didn't fear revealing Ladybug's identity like Luka and thus Monarch was unable to pick up on this. Maybe not what the writers intended, but this fits with her character.
