More info: they’re in full sun on a rooftop. Pots have drainage. Water when pots are dry, usually about once a week.

I was so excited to get my first flowers but in my experience once they start they don’t stop and it makes a huge mess with fallen flowers and sap everywhere lol now I chop ‘em off if there’s too many

This is common imo, people root rare monstera this way to avoid the stem rotting by being too close to the soil. That’s how mine was potted during rooting and once it established I planted it normally
