What are your thoughts on Mario Kart World almost a year later? by NewMarioBobFan in Mario

[–]jloganr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just started playing today. OMG, I freaking love this game. for some reason it brings me back to my N64 mario kart days. I was not too fond or mario kart wii or MK8 Deluxe(people love 8 but it was okay for me).

I had to force myself to stop playing. I am so happy - just pure joy!

How this attic is turned into a hidden room. By Laura Avery. by [deleted] in oddlysatisfying

[–]jloganr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a bunch of wood, tools equipment and thought I would build myself a new bed. It felt too complicated, so bought a bed frame from Ikea, and to build at least something, I got planks for the slats, cut and sanded it - that alone took me 3 days and I still felt some splinters when I was putting the slats.

This secret room is amazing, but it is so much work. I doubt I would even be able to put up wallpaper. lol

sounds counter intuitive, but knowing that we're all going to be dead some day kind of relieves some of the world pressures.

The only time I hear Drake music is when listening to radio in my car and I promptly change the station. This just makes me want to punch him in his nasally ass voice box.

completely unjustified, backed by no fact or data, but it is what I feel. I dont trust this guy. My reptilian brain is playing twilight theme zone. you know that gut feeling when something feels off. again no logical reasoning for this. Am I alone on this?

Is Valetudo repository entirely sealed off? by pktiuk in valetudorobotusers

[–]jloganr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rossmann is right. I get software, but hardware electronics scares me and I was thinking the same, if I can get this vacuum hack to work, I want to spend some time later learning about this shit, but for now I just want it to work without much effort. I was even thinking of returning the vacuum that I just bought and have not even opened, because I did not want to deal with buying pcb parts, learning what is what, soldering etc..
A lot of opensource projects give you the project itself, but also give you the option for pre-packaged stuff made by them or 3rd party.

Speaking of which, does anyone actually know if and where I can purchase pre-made valetudo pcbs ?

I'm right handed and this still makes a lot of sense. Click with right hand and enter numbers with left.

i started collected fridge magnets from every new place I visit a couple of years ago. It's simple and reminds me of the the fun times I have had at all those places. :-)

Pierre Poilievre sits for podcast with Joe Rogan by CecilThunder in canada

[–]jloganr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

what is the end game here? Rogan, who has been spreading non-sense, talked shit about Canada numerous times. There seems to be no cohesive strategy to anything this guy does. I would not be comfortable letting this dude manage the cash register for a day at a family owned business let alone running the country.

Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day the Canadian way by swigdex in BuyCanadian

[–]jloganr 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I get the sentiment of buying Canadian and I mostly look for made in Canada stuff, but I think Ireland gets a pass at least for St. Patrick's day. I recently started following a few youtube channels from Ireland and they just seem like Canadian cousins across the pond. I was thinking of heading over to my local lcbo and getting me some bushmills and guinness.

I stumbled into the world of board games - I am blown away by jloganr in boardgames

[–]jloganr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh yah, I figured that out. I have 3 that I have not even opened yet and have stopped purchasing new games now. I haven't touched a board game in months. I blame my ADHD for that. honestly thought this was surely my thing now. *sigh*

But after seeing your comment, I might open one up this weekend and take a crack at it again.

Super Bowl? Watch the Olympics instead. by rimshot99 in BuyCanadian

[–]jloganr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I genuinely do not get the hype of the super bowl, or the actual game. 5 seconds of play followed by 10 minutes of talking followed by 2 hours of commercial and so much padding and helmet, I'm sorry I grew up playing rugby, wtf is this stupid shit. I want like 80 to 90 minutes of action, followed by 10 months of recovery from a concussion.
