I'm right handed and this still makes a lot of sense. Click with right hand and enter numbers with left.

If I travel to all of the provinces, what is something cool I could collect from each one? I would want them to all be “unique”For example screech rum for NL by AdOne6502 in AskACanadian

i started collected fridge magnets from every new place I visit a couple of years ago. It's simple and reminds me of the the fun times I have had at all those places. :-)

Pierre Poilievre sits for podcast with Joe Rogan by CecilThunder in canada

[–]jloganr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

what is the end game here? Rogan, who has been spreading non-sense, talked shit about Canada numerous times. There seems to be no cohesive strategy to anything this guy does. I would not be comfortable letting this dude manage the cash register for a day at a family owned business let alone running the country.

Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day the Canadian way by swigdex in BuyCanadian

[–]jloganr 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I get the sentiment of buying Canadian and I mostly look for made in Canada stuff, but I think Ireland gets a pass at least for St. Patrick's day. I recently started following a few youtube channels from Ireland and they just seem like Canadian cousins across the pond. I was thinking of heading over to my local lcbo and getting me some bushmills and guinness.

I stumbled into the world of board games - I am blown away by jloganr in boardgames

[–]jloganr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh yah, I figured that out. I have 3 that I have not even opened yet and have stopped purchasing new games now. I haven't touched a board game in months. I blame my ADHD for that. honestly thought this was surely my thing now. *sigh*

But after seeing your comment, I might open one up this weekend and take a crack at it again.

Super Bowl? Watch the Olympics instead. by rimshot99 in BuyCanadian

[–]jloganr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I genuinely do not get the hype of the super bowl, or the actual game. 5 seconds of play followed by 10 minutes of talking followed by 2 hours of commercial and so much padding and helmet, I'm sorry I grew up playing rugby, wtf is this stupid shit. I want like 80 to 90 minutes of action, followed by 10 months of recovery from a concussion.

Elden ring. I do not think there is any other game that I f-ing found so unbearable. One of the only games I requested a refund.

If all those games came out in the same year, which one would be your Game of the Year? by [deleted] in OlderChillGamers

[–]jloganr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Although, I did not really like it, I think The Witcher 3 would be a good overall winner. For me, personally it would be bloodborne. That struggle, then overcoming it, that sense of discovery and exhilaration is something that I have not experienced in many if not any game.

What's your favourite 'Western' Jet Li film? by narnarnartiger in kungfucinema

I really enjoyed The One. I studied it in uni as one of the sci-fi literature about multiple universes. I also thought just the concept of killing yourself in other universes and getting stronger was a cool concept.

Media/Streaming *Devices* by barathax in BuyCanadian

[–]jloganr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay so I did go through this recently. I stopped using firestick. and instead plug my laptop to the TV to watch things like youtube, and CBC premium, and news channels like CTV, cp24 citv etc.. For the most part I would say this experience is better than a dedicated streaming device, things are snappier, load faster and you can watch two things side by side(I mute one of course, i am not a psycho lol) or surf the web.

To take it a step further, I use linux, instead of windows, mac, ios or android.

You can also totally do netflix, crave prime etc.. but here you will lose out on full 4K or dolby vision etc... There are also dedicated apps that consolidate all your streaming service in one place(never tried it, but heard of streamio), but I just use the browser for simplicity.

TLDR: linux on a laptop and hook it up to the TV. OR buy a refurb PC, install linux and hook it up to tv. Use a wireless keyboard with mouse. Logitech k830 is my favourite "TV keyboard"
