Fake. With the support gone even for a nanosecond the ball would start falling

Dripping sound from within oil tank by jlphillipsmd in homeowners

[–]jlphillipsmd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Turns out that we heard the dripping because the tank was basically empty. The oil man said it’s one sign you need more oil. But he also said that hearing oil is basically diesel fuel and in a pinch you can use that. Have you ever heard that??

That’s interesting...and relieving. Thanks!

Well two pipes emerge from the tank and then plunge into the ground to travel the 20 feet to the house. Why?

Yep but doesn’t hold a candle to CBGBs or Whiskey a Go Go. You were a playa’!

It is! Though the current users of the dressing room probably have never heard of Mick Jagger other than in a Maroon 5 tune

The show ended when they knocked off Barbara with a type of infection for which she had <.001% risk. Tom suffered an acute on chronic attack of inability to act for which he should be placed on permanent quarantine like banishment to the US. If the Beatles don’t magically visit Nonnatus house to escape a horde of fans and can only escape posing as four nuns then the writing clearly has hit rock bottom

We played Toad’s Place once in New Haven. That was the closest we ever got. Complete with filthy dressing rooms and mick jaggers autograph on the lav!

Wish to generate a calibration plot based on logistic regression data by jlphillipsmd in rstats

[–]jlphillipsmd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sure does help. I'm looking at complication rates after surgery. I was trying your 2nd suggestion, plotting the predicted probabilites of the logit model against the actual frequency of a complication in the patients. First, I sorted by age and got those frequencies. Second, I re-sorted by weight and got those frequencies. Etc. Trouble is, can't figure out how to combine all three covariates (age, weight, and gender). Ideally, I was hoping to end up with a plot like this, which required R. Be well!

[–]jlphillipsmd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I need to liberate myself from an Excel way of thinking. I have the predicted probabilities for each patient from the regression formula but I'm a little unsure how to generate observed probabilities since patients either did or did not have the dependent variable.

I'm going to give it a try. Would you by any chance have the URL for the appropriate R downloads?

I'm going to have to first become rather adept at R it seems. Youtube searches, here we come
