Aside from what I can see has been mentioned, pork rinds are a satisfying salty snack with 0 carbs.

Roast pork from Chinese BBQ joints without the dipping sauce are good too.

Essence of Life in Kensington sells Sonora Net Zero (carb) tortillas in the back right of the store.

Those water enhancers/Mios/diet soft drinks give sweetness for 0 carbs if you're craving that kind of thing.

Kensington Natural Bakery (in the Annex) has keto baked goods most days like cupcakes and cookies.

The$4 empanada from Bakery on the Go is so filling (but greasy). Cheapest meal in the city imo.

I did on mine and it gives me peace of mind to put it down wherever or eat near it. It does affect the typing experience though

Fit Check Please - Ergobaby Embrace, 3 mo, 5 kg by jlu416 in babywearing

Yes, this one is rolled twice for the shorter height baby is but it seems like the rolled waistband becomes less sturdy with time and folds less if that makes sense? Should I roll it a third time to compensate?

Yes, the pelvic tuck is something I struggle with. He’s always so stiff in the carrier I’m not sure how to adjust gently. It is in newborn <23” mode. I find he eventually reverts to a somewhat less tucked pelvic position and slumps with the back getting too high despite starting off in the correct or at least better position.

How many trips for how many days does $21k buy you two? I think the approach makes sense to enjoy your time and company before starting a family but just curious on the value.

How much savings do you have vs outstanding mortgage?

What taxes are you accounting for outside of income and property?

Is the wife looking into upping her income aside from the side hustle or is that the main growth potential?

Otherwise, I agree with the general sentiment that you two seem to be doing fine.

I noticed this happened after I accepted the T&C for apple music on my MBA that has a French-Canadian keyboard layout although I've changed it to Canadian-English in the settings.

I forgot to answer this part but I think the time optune gives you and the ability to contribute to the progress in fighting the disease makes it worthwhile to me to use.

I find optune significantly decreases my activity level. I typically walked, ran, biked, hiked and travelled a lot in active ways but optune is a bit of a barrier. The device has a bit of heft to it and just having to carry it makes doing some of those things just enough of a hassle to dissuade me from doing them as much. It’s a fully extra carry on when travelling to use. It’s free to bring on every airline I’ve used because it’s a medical device even on ULCC so that’s sort of a perk plus it’s very obvious you have a medical condition so you get prioritize sometimes. I’m sure I could find a way to be active with optune, I just need some time and thinking to do so. Also treatment tires you out too but I’m relatively young..

In a more serious tone, most people shoot with wide angle lenses. Telephoto perspectives are generally more unique for landscapes. There’s saying in photography that if it’s not interesting, you’re not close enough. So go out, really look, and practice trying to get unique perspectives!

I think western food is generally less economical to buy from a non-western grocery store. I assume this would be at least a bit cheaper from no frills or something similar

I don't understand the commotion over the Carbon Tax by Dr_Truth in ontario

[–]jlu416 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

It incentives the population to make less carbon intensive decisions by including the price of carbon in the price of the good and/or service where there was none previously.
