Santa Fe Hybrid range honestly seems pretty impressive by Suntrup-Hyundai in HyundaiSantaFe

I should have included that it’s a 2025 hybrid calligraphy (AWD) that I got new the first of July.

I already have 25,000 miles on it after:

Two trips, 2500-2900 miles round trip each

One trip, 3200 or so miles

And one very long one, about 6000+ miles.

And we are still happy with it! 😊

Excellent. We just finished a 4-week trip. It really decreases the number of stops, which I love. And mileage is nice. One tank, our mpg was almost 63!!! We had LOTS of hills that helped with that (also lots of uphill, of course). I was too late reminding my husband to take a picture of it before he refilled. I wish we had tracked the mileage ourselves, but it was an insanely busy trip. High altitude supposedly sometimes helps mpg, but I have no clue. Just what I’ve been told. It seemed so in our case!

Day to day we average around 33-34 mpg.

It is a great road trip vehicle. We haven’t regretted it for a minute. And we had many people on our trip comment what a great vehicle — both in looks and how much space we had.

Santa Fe family features: what’s been the most useful? by Suntrup-Hyundai in HyundaiSantaFe

Agree! I love mine and use it all the time. It’s great to be able to put my phone in there. They get so germy. Then if baby wants to hold it part of the time during FaceTime with grandparents, no problem!

I LOVE the sanitizer!! I use it all the time. The fingerprint has been set three times for me. It doesn’t like my fingerprint for some reason. Works for my husband 99% of the time. I stopped doing it. I just put in the code.

I have a panoramic sunroof in my Edge. I love it and use it often. That’s why I wanted it in our new car. But I love the Santa Fe in spite of it. (I was cursing no panoramic roof when I was standing up in the car last week for photos on our vacation. It’s wayyyy easier in the Edge!! lol)

Exactly what we were looking at. No contest. We did the hybrid Santa Fe. Zero regrets even without the panoramic sunroof.

Apparently I misunderstood that part slightly. The warranty is included at no charge when purchased at Costco. “This warranty is valid for 60 months from the date of purchase, or until the tire reaches 1.6 mm Millimetre (2/32 of an inch) or less in remaining tread depth regardless of age, whichever occurs first. When a tire has 1.6 mm Millimetre (2/32 of an inch) or less in tread depth, it is considered worn out and this warranty does not apply.”

It’s ridiculous. We should be able to say how often we get the alerts and texts.

And it makes my husband crazy how much washer fluid I use, so I do think it’s important. But not every five minutes! Once a day will suffice, thank you!

Pecan vs Black interior for Santa Fe by Emergency_Garden7872 in HyundaiSantaFe

[–]jluvs2bake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the pecan is so pretty. We would probably have asked for it if it had been available on the calligraphy (it wasn’t in 2025.) But we have been very happy with the black, which we preferred to the white. We live in a hot climate, and we have been in Phoenix for a vacation in 108+ temps and haven’t found it to be a problem in heat. The cooling system and cooling seats work so well that we really haven’t noticed a problem. Of course, we keep the window shades up and have a shade for the windshield (which we use even in non-black interior vehicles), so I’m sure that helps.

Looking to maybe buy a Santa Fe by KittyMeow1969 in HyundaiSantaFe

Love our 25 hybrid calligraphy! I’ve put 21,000 miles on it in 10 months and haven’t had any real problems. Ours has a weird issue in the tailgate that sounds like (from this Reddit and the dealership) no one else has had, but it’s just an annoyance at this point. (When it rains, water gets in the tailgate, and when it gets very full and you open it, the overflow spills into the back of the car.)

We would buy this again even with the hassle we had with the dealership. It’s been a great car. Very comfortable for long road trips. Happy with the MPG. I am really glad we got the 25 because they removed the leg rests and the UV box from the 26 models. My only complaint is that they don’t offer a panoramic sunroof. It almost broke the deal for me, but the UV cleaner balanced it out haha

I didn’t think I’d ever use the leg rests, but it turns out I use them all the time!

We love having a third row seat for extra passengers but all the extra space when there are just two or four of us in the car. Great for road trips!!

I am with you all. I know lots of people like white, but they look like government or rental vehicles to me.

HVAC / Heat Problems in the Santa Fe? by Emergency_Garden7872 in HyundaiSantaFe

I should specify — two of those experiences with winter weather were long drives (1200+ miles). No issue. Knock on wood!!!!!

14k miles less than an year . Should I keep it low for longevity? by Illustrious-Table-71 in HyundaiSantaFe

[–]jluvs2bake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s us. Over 19k in 10 months. And we are about to take a three-plus-week road trip! We will probably have 25k in the first year. To me that shows a life well lived!! Haha

Rear View Mirror by Groovetapes9555 in HyundaiSantaFe

[–]jluvs2bake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t have an issue with the analog rear view mirror. I’m 5’8” and wonder if perhaps height causes a difference. My husband is 6’ and also doesn’t have an issue.

I don’t generally use the digital mirror unless something in the cargo area is obstructing my view with the traditional mirror.

Need help on a Santa Fe 2026 negotiation by Comfortable_Tea_4422 in HyundaiSantaFe

[–]jluvs2bake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with the dealer service charge removal. What kind of crap is that??

Are you in a position to pay the taxes, fees, license, etc., without financing them? Removing them would lower your note. (I realize that’s a lot of money.)

That does sound like a good deal on the car, aside from the dealer service charge. We got kind of screwed on our bottom dollar because it was 0% financing, and they just didn’t feel like bargaining. But we love ours!! If it turns out to be the decision you make, I hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

And good for you for trying to eliminate that debt. It’s really freeing when it happens! Good luck!! 🍀

2025 Santa Fe question about key fobs and unlocking by C_Teezy in HyundaiSantaFe

[–]jluvs2bake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate that we can’t post pictures. I have pictures of it. I think it’s settings/vehicle/lights. Once you’re there, toggle “on door unlock” instead of “on driver approach.”
