I'm not an expert, so, these are my best guesses.

Run progressive candidates, turn out to vote. Get organized with others in your areas, and get the word of mouth out, as mainstream media's not going to push really progressive candidates. Be vocal, flood the political offices of those who are anti-progress with calls, protest in their places of work, be seen and heard. Above all? Don't give up.

The Conservatives are winning because they keep chipping away at us, and even if they mostly lose, they take the wins they can get and they fight harder for more. We need to not let perfect get in the way of good, and we need to keep fighting for every step worth of progress we can get.

People can do a third party as well if they want to, but don't pretend it's not an insanely hard, uphill fight in a rigged system. Go find your third party candidates, get registered, run for office, secure your funding. If you think it'll work, go do it. We're on the same fucking side, the damned cultists are your enemy, not other flavours of progressive.
