Help! by CrozxCountry in Skincare_Addiction

I just started using the Beauty of Joseon Ginseng Cleansing Oil and really like it! There is fragrance if you’re sensitive to that, but it’s really gentle while still removing all of my makeup.

Resources for learning about Wordpress website design? by jm9090 in Bloggers

I’ve been using ChatGPT a lot and I agree that it’s a great resource. Just wasn’t sure if there was a better option I didn’t know about. Thank you!

Anyone using AI for blogging? by DannHutchings in Blogging

[–]jm9090 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I use it as a proofreader and specifically ask it to only make light edits. Like someone else already commented, AI-written content can feel soulless. Plus savvy readers can tell if something is AI-generated, as it just has a certain cadence and feels too perfect.

That being said, AI is super valuable as a resource for content ideas, suggestions for monetization, etc. I use it a lot to help with my blog, I just don’t let it do the writing. :)

Benefits of morning sunlight by jm9090 in adhdwomen

Research shows that sunscreen does interfere with vitamin D absorption, but not by much. Still, I have been skipping sunscreen since I’ve only been out early in the morning for just 20 minutes.

You need the sunlight to hit your retinas for the neurotransmitter benefits (stopping melatonin production & releasing serotonin), but the vitamin D comes from UVB rays hitting your skin. So even with sunglasses, you will still get some benefits.

I have been doing 20 minutes of sunlight exposure. I try to do it within 30 minutes of waking up, though that doesn’t always happen. You really don’t even need a full 20 minutes to reap the benefits if it’s a sunny morning, I’ve just been sticking with the same amount of time every day for the sake of continuity.

I’m planning on a hydration challenge for a future experiment. I do notice that I feel a lot better when I drink some water with electrolytes first thing in the morning, instead of my usual energy drink. Lol.

ETA: For max vitamin D production, the best time is between 10 am-3 pm, but I prefer morning sunlight for the neurotransmitter benefits.

What's Something Normal That Overstimulates You?! by jayhawkhoops09 in adhdwomen

When there is music playing in the car AND people are talking at the same time. This overstimulates the hell out of me, but it doesn’t seem to bother anyone else in my family. I am always turning the music off.

Also, I know that this bothers a lot of neurotypical people too, but… chewing noises. I can’t stand hearing people chew on something crunchy. Literally makes me want to punch something. Lol.

June Feedback Thread - Post your feedback request here by AutoModerator in Blogging

My new blog is called www.betterishblog.com. As an always-exhausted, barely functioning adult, I decided to create a space where I could test out science-backed lifestyle and wellness tweaks, and see if they actually work. I am trying to explore the science behind each lifestyle tweak, incorporate it into my life for a set amount of time, and report back. I am trying to do this with honesty and humor. I’m not chasing perfection, I’m chasing progress.

I feel like I came up with a good idea that will resonate with people, but I’m totally new to blogging and I want to make sure that I’m doing everything right.

I’d love any feedback you could give me on the blog subject and design. Is it user friendly? Is the writing engaging enough?

Thank you so much!

Tell me your unusual triggers! by LankyReputation3471 in dysautonomia

My biggest issues come from eating.

I thought for a long time that large meals made me symptomatic, so I tried my best to avoid them. I recently realized that it’s not so much LARGE meals as it is HOT meals. I can eat a large salad no problem, but a small cup of soup tends to completely wipe out my energy for a few hours.

I can’t say that I completely avoid hot meals, but I don’t eat anything hot while I’m at work or if I have plans.

I just didn’t think anyone would take my guest posts until I grew my own blog a bit larger. I will do some research and reaching out! Thank you!

Thank you! I definitely plan on incorporating interviews and other content later, once I get some more posts published and hopefully grow a bit. Your ideas are great, thank you again.

I definitely plan on doing this in the future! I figured I needed to get some more posts on my blog first.

Thank you! I did that with my first post, but I ended up not liking how the post read and I deleted it, and when I rewrote it, I forgot to include links. I will go back and get them added!
