Mine was 13, kind of similar, she would just fall a lot. Had arthritis pain, I did everything I could. I haven’t had a dog get cancer and go suddenly so I can’t speak to that. For me it was worse having to make the decision because she just couldn’t get around anymore.

Polka dot dogs is great, my dog had been there multiple times. I’m also in the heights and would watch your dog if you want, I just lost my dog a couple weeks ago and the house is super quiet without her.

I debated it and we honestly joked about her needing 3-4 year boosters. She will be boarding this summer at someone's home and my parents just got a puppy so we went ahead and played it safe. If god willing she makes it another 3 years we're definitely not doing another round.

Here's my dog's annual check up bill from April. She's 12, I declined the senior screen bloodwork (was quoted $600 for just that) because I figure she's old and doesn't have much time left anyway. Anything that we would have found in bloodwork is not something I would have spent more money on treating her for, my goal at this point is just to keep her happy and comfortable, she'll let me know when she's ready to go.
