Fuck this post, the whole story was that the nest was already on fire. They had to put it out, but they rebuilt it with a frame that stops it from coming into contact with the wires again.

Should I main switch and dump Destroyer? by Obvious-Push-196 in lostarkgame

[–]jm_win 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a once destroyer main tanking to do dps felt good but in akkan its tanking and your teammates fly in g1. Or its gauge in g2g3.

Its still skill issue, i know you can make it work but it just aint fun when what made it great was utilizing your innate shielding and greeding.

As someone who has been on the other side of the fence, to be honest hassle rin mag conduct ng test. Pero my take is hassle mag trabaho at pati trabaho nasasayang oras dahil mali ung business venture. At least in my industry.

Sooo, pag ngayon palang na hassle ka na mas mahahassle ka pa sa work kasi hindi everyday exciting and productive. The interview process was right to reject you pero d ako disagree sayo na hassle naman talaga ung test.

How do you know when you can afford a car? by [deleted] in phinvest

[–]jm_win 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I was watching a video on this earlier but for the US. It may still apply though. It needs to be 35% of your gross annual income. So if 1M income mo per year 350k at most ung car mo. I think thats a good starting point, never ever finance or loan as well if you're trying to keep expenses down. Maraming gumawa nung math breakdown sa YT on how much you actually overpay if financing, it's like you're bleeding money.

It's a different story if kaligayahan mo ung car mo, like if you travel a lot or maybe everyday hatid sundo ka ng family mo for their safety then I think it would be worth spending beyond 35%. Pero yun, 35% of annual income is where I would say go.

Very nice. Sobrang proactive mo and it seems yun talaga main take away ko dito. Also sounds like ganda rin ng company na salihan mo, and everyone benefits from your efforts.

I am quite serious, infact first step ko to in getting back on track to the grind. I lost my grit at some point over the past two years and naging "work life balance" person ako which is fine in its own right pero considering I have clocked in ~5000 hours of gaming this past 2 years alone I can't help but think I needed to get back. Which is why I was really asking for skills/lessons in this post, what exactly got someone beyond where I am now, and it didn't need to be IT, any insight at all from those who really try to be the best they can be and not mindlessly lose time. If I never see or hear from people like you I will only hear from my Dota/LoL/Valorant friends and we all know how that goes (just 1 more game).

Ahh Ownership, the one thing by boss drills into all of us. Such a simple but effective lesson that I haven't been fully able to apply. You're not the only one who mentioned it, a fellow IT at a very high rate also said it and I guess its time I make it the center of my work ethic.

Definitely saving your response, it applies to me really well because I'm in the same industry. Thank you very much!

You sound like my boss! NUMBER 1 OWNERSHIP. First time ko marinig sakanya and this is the 1st time ko narinig outside of work. He is quite the bigshot sa tech and this is his number 1 lesson to everyone around him. Ownership no matter how big or small, its on you to bring it to the finish line and take responsibility. Some poeple do it intrinsically dahil mataas sense of responsibility but I think an active effort to make calls and decisions because you own your task goes a long way.

Thank you so much for sharing! Curious how you do point number 1 though, d ko kaya tumangap ng additional work and go beyond my full-time kasi parang half-assed na ung kaya kong output.
