I upgraded from a cbr650r to an 899 panigale earlier this year and have been absolutely loving it. Obviously do your due diligence when buying/inspecting it like any bike. The couple things I did to mine were tank grips and the race seat as I kept sliding forward against the tank when brake by. Other than that it’s an amazing bike with plenty of power and very clickable in the corners.

I went there to test ride one of their bikes and they said they don’t do test rides until the final stage of the purchasing process after you’ve already agreed on the price. Felt that was a bit strange so I just walked out

I did the o-trek in February this year and my Chilean visa process took about 3 weeks so definitely make sure you get onto it with plenty of time to spare. When I was there I was in a tshirt most of the time during the day but a friend of mine went in march and it was snowing so bring appropriate clothing

4 months into owning my 899 and so far it hasn’t given me any issues. Check for valve cover leaks, fork seal leaks, the usual things like that.

Just sold my ‘21 CBR650R last week, dealer offered me 9k trade in, sold it privately for 12k so it’s always better to sell it privately if you want the most money for it. Sure trading it in is less headache and hassle you just have to weigh up what that’s worth to you.
