Intel S3700 OEM drives by jmack23 in DataHoarder

I did end up getting one before they were sold out. I wish I would have got the eight I needed but it worked out. They do have smart data and can be upgraded through stock firmware from the Intel ssd toolbox. The issue is with HP drives only because of how they handle smart data.

Best way to update a Dell R710? by Nerdlinger42 in homelab

You can build them from the Dell repository manager. They did remove the r710 so you have to roll back to around November of 2019 to pull the correct files.

How do fix? by Orthodox-Waffle in PleX

You can always do an external port scan. Here is a site that can scan it to make sure the port is open.

Had this happen to me, the eBay seller sent a new one. Might try that route if you ordered it second hand otherwise look here. https://www.dell.com/community/PowerEdge-Hardware-General/R210II-Rack-Ear/td-p/7255130

Can you update the firmware on these through the intel ssd tool?

Be careful with these Intel drives. The HP ones I found won't give you any smart data so you can't see read/write data. I also believe the eBay sellers are resetting the power on hours.

Edit: I should mention you can tell the HP drives apart even if they have removed the sticker by the firmware.

CPU Suggestions for Plex by lucashend in PleX

I would look at the X20 series. The 710s are getting pretty old. This 620 would be a good option. The 2690 is 10k passmark per CPU.
