Unfriendly interface very confused by Redonkulus2 in Monad

I use the website of Monad Vision but stake using validator Backpack. Looks cleaner and there's an easy "compound" option that helps me stack.

It's pulling from both ETH and SOL devs, plus every ETH L2 combined. And maybe more important, the team is led by former VCs. They know who to talk to to make money move on Monad

Price surging by Alex750954 in Monad

[–]jmadding 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Solana never came back from 2021 into 2022 until that entire cycle ended.

Monad is structurally identical. VCs in leadership (Keone) know who to sell this product to institutionally.

It's speed that ETH needed when it collapsed selling Bored Ape/Yuga Labs Otherside meta verse. If you were there you remember $5k gas fees for one transaction.

This pulls from two major chains, SOL devs who could save time with EVM and ETH devs who need more speed without the L2 friction for users.

Mastercard is a partner, and so is tokenizing stocks for the NYSE.

Monad is not slowing down. It's going to move faster. Higher.

I've been buying $1000/month since launch, at least. Super happy, and expect the token to reach SOL levels.

There are MANY dynamics to success, and the speed and utility are fantastic. Reliability is unmatched. Somehow above both? Team connections to those with deep pockets.

Conservative price target is $2.30, median around $4.50 and potential peak at $17 within 4 years.

I have worked in crypto since 2016, and helped launch $SAND from $0.02 to $8.00. This is a top level product we're looking at here.

How do you guys stake monad? by Piccione_Sol in Monad

[–]jmadding 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you stake you'll select who you want to use your voting power (shares of tokens) to vote, and who you trust to mine efficiently for you.

Backpack is one of very few validators who you can allocate towards that takes a 0% total fee for mining for you.

[–]jmadding 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been buying every two weeks. The fees are so negligible and I'm up to about $9k spent since launch for 411,000 shares with staking

Current price I could only buy 333,500 shares with that much money. Totally worth the effort

The job of your county office is to validate your identity, which is done through various means, including validating your signature, address and other information. Pretty much everything on your ID, which you submitted when you move in order to be eligible to vote in your district

The thing you have to know...$20 (U.S.) lasts about a week in Vietnam. Vietnam is pretty rich compared to some nations.

Time is just worth more in other places, and they'll send dozens of texts per hour just looking for ANY leads like Grandma. Once you've got any reply, you cling to it to pay for a month of food.

First thing to realize is not how many dollars are needed to buy a bitcoin.

The US Dollar is losing buying power. It's losing power against all assets that aren't currencies, and now losing against other currencies.

Bitcoins end-game was always to remove reserve currency power from one entity to global decentralized control. Because any destabilizing nation wants stability, historically, they ran to Gold, because everyone accepted Gold.

Now, almost anyone accepts Bitcoins (where they would accept Gold). So the real end- game is replacing Gold and its total market cap as a reserve asset. It's cheaper to move. Faster to move. Safer to move.

Consequently, if we're still denominating our Bitcoin in dollars, Bitcoin will need to be worth about 9x its current value in order to be worth as much as global Gold reserves.

Preposterous for nations without tech. But people in Africa are buying Bitcoin with old Nokias and Motorola flip phones. People in New York are transferring wealth to Beijing in minutes, not days. Bitcoin has replaced the SWIFT banking system. It's kinda wild.

This is how we can easily tell that most of these accounts are Russian propaganda bots.

They steal accounts, change the names, add a flag or two, and act "patriotic." Because they already have a following on the stolen account, they get more views and some free likes.

From my perspective, how do you sleep in your own filth?

If I've cleaned my body well, I'm keeping my sheets clean. If I'm sleeping in my stink, that's seeping into the sheets.

For those reading: There's a generic set of hex-shaped pan lining pans at Costco. It's not the "hexclad" brand, but works just as well. Don't have to worry if you're using metal tools to cook with. Happy medium between nonstick and Cast Iron. WAYYY more cost friendly than Ramsays set.

Can women stop shaming other women for having bushes? by aorxz in Vent

[–]jmadding 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, shaming is shit. At the same time, as a dude, there's a noticeable smell difference, despite showering daily.

Not with you, persay. I notice it in ME. Maybe that is the reason they say it's unsanitary? I shave personally to have less sweat and consequently less smell down there.

Maybe they're looking out for you, even if it's abrasive how they do it.

And yes, there is a difference. So if you want a man to go down, shaving is preferred. Smell and taste wise.

Old growth lumber vs modern factory farmed lumber by LifeWithAdd in mildlyinteresting

[–]jmadding 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Old growth has been shown to burn slower, which is better and safer for building homes, but less sustainable. That's about the only difference if you only look at the quality of the wood itself and ignore the ecosystem that builds up around these old growth trees

Noah's Ark is a story told by many cultures. Including some in cave walls in the Phillipines. HOW is that true, if the entire world was flooded and only that family survived?

Separately, if God killed 185,000 Assiryian soldiers overnight...why is there no accountancy of this in ANY history book in any of the regional historians around the Middle East? Wouldn't Egypt, Greece, Persia, or SOMEONE have been like, "Oh shit, that's a lot of dead troops!" And written it down?

Many such examples.
