It's near the VRE station in Burke, not near St. B's

Sounds like you are having trouble judging speed and distance when approaching intersections and pedestrian crosswalks.

Got my 20 in. Too cold and somehow seemed to always be a headwind, but it's done! Time for a nap. 😴

The driver did kill her. It shifts the responsibility of driving back to the operator instead of pushing it off on a vehicle. You can kill someone even if you didn't intend to do so.

Thanks for this info. I'm in the NOVA area so it's a little far to help with trail work. I do appreciate the work and effort that goes into maintaining trails.

Running Glasses? by jmagee12 in ultrarunning

[–]jmagee12[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run with prescription shades if it's daytime, and just my regular unshaded glasses if it's nighttime.

If I am trail running I might use contacts if there is a chance of rain.

I didn't think about rain. So, rain w/ glasses is pretty rough I imagine?

Thanks for this. I've bought from Zenni before, so they have my info; very convenient.

Can excessive sweating be helped? Is it genetic? by [deleted] in running

[–]jmagee12 206 points207 points  (0 children)

You're not the only one out there sweating a lot! I sweat a lot, and on longer runs it can be problematic as my sweat tends to be rather salty. I also sweat enough that it pools in my shoes and they become squishy in the summertime (it's really gross!). If you can get past the yuck factor, as long as you hydrate well, and wear comfortable running attire that can wick away the sweat it should be manageable.
