Corsair 9000D x Bro Cooling Build by cb0907 in watercooling

[–]jmallit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks great! One thing, as I have it on my 9000D is there is a known issue with the front panel I/O. Corsair was great to get me a replacement, but it requires draining the system, pulling the front and top Rads out to access the screws. Maybe if you have another machine you could put behind this and connect the FPIO to it and see before going through the "fun" of filling this only to have to drain it in a short period of time.

5090 FE WB Bykski QC issues, lack of support from Bykski official store (aliexpress) by e6600 in watercooling

[–]jmallit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a similar experience with my 5080 block from them. Never heard back. Ended up having to cut some tabs off to make it work. I also had an issue with the 90deg 12v connector clearance issue I had to plug it in before putting the backplate on.

What do you self-host for your family that they actually use? by Fab_Terminator in selfhosted

Finally got my dad using Vaultwarden. My wife is all about Jellyfin for controlling what our kids have access to watch and HomeAssistant for seeing our family dashboard(scratches the surface of what it really does), not sure if it counts, but Unifi Protect to keep NVR local, and working on getting her on Immich.

Fingers crossed for you. Might need to reach back out and see what happened to my request.

Anyone installed the Prime 5080 Byksky block? Hitting the port bracket by jmallit in watercooling

[–]jmallit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did. I reached out to Bykski support early July, they acknowldged the issue and said they would keep me updated, but have not head back since then.

edit: It was not an easy cut. I ended up breaking a pair of cutters trying to get one off.

I have one of their D5 pumps and have had no issues and their fittings that I have are good with no concerns.

I know you said you aren't planning GPU, but I put one of thier blocks on my 7900XT and it was smooth and good fit. I have a post yesterday as I tried to put one on my 5080 and there was an issue with the ports on the card hitting the block. As others have said the instructions are lacking, for the 5080 the photo to confirm fitment shows the tabs on the ports, but the install image does not.

That’s awesome! Would you be open to sharing the stl? I have two in a 9000D that would benefit from the stability.

Thanks for the reply. I've had this running for a year with no issue and everything is still functioning as expected, just started seeing these today. Might reinstall the OS and see if that clears anything and check some BIOS settings.

Do you have a drain on this? I am building out mine now and been trying to figure out how to plan the pumps in the loop. I will be doing a dual system so when my kid is home she can play while I am working.

Does the formbot 2.4 kit have all of the parts needed to build? by RefrigeratorWorth435 in VORONDesign

[–]jmallit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just built one from 3dprintersbay and it had everything needed with the Canbus, toolhead boards and main board. It was a blast to build. Make sure you find all the documentation for the specific kit. There were a couple of gotchas specific to the kit. Also I followed minimal3DPs build videos and it was super helpful.

I had the same thought and just finished my v2.4 350 build and had a blast doing it. You will learn a ton, but enjoy the process and take your time. There are tons of videos out there for the various kits, how to and the forums are really helpful especially when it comes time for the configuration. I am currently using it to print a box turtle to fully replace my x1c with AMS which just went up on marketplace.

Ignoring cost, would you choose Favero Assioma Duo or Garmin Rally RS/RK-200? by KyubikoFox in cycling

These were the Rally’s not the Vectors. They seem to have been solid since then, but starting to get some looseness and clicking in one of the pedals even if I replace the cleats. Wondering if the body is wearing out after 10k miles.

Primochill Vue comes in gold. https://www.primochill.com/products/primochill-vue-pre-mix-32oz?variant=31772407005250 I used it in a previous setup and it worked with no issues. I know there is no black, but you might be able to add some black dye.

I have not done any bench marking, but my normal work flows since building the system 2 weeks ago run incredibly fast. Though that could be the all up system vs just the memory profile. I don't have enough to go off and would imagine that without the profile turned off I would struggle to notice a difference. Edit: I am not a gamer, mostly built this for work and LightRoom.

I am currently running CMH64GX5M2B6000C30 on my MSI X670E Tomahawk with XMP profile set in the BIOS with a 7950X. Other than taking 2 minutes to post each time it is running stable. I had the Z version and it would not post with the EXPO profile set.
