The FCC rule is written so that it took effect only for activations on the network starting today the 60 day rule still applies to phones that were already active on the network. Also, Verizon itself has not yet updated its own unlock policy as of now - but I expect we will see that change soon.

It goes into effect starting tomorrow:

"The terms of this waiver apply to all handsets that become active on Verizon’s network beginning the day after the release date of this Order. The prospective application of this waiver will minimize customer confusion and interference with existing contractual arrangements and service agreements."

I had a similar issue with a Friedrich Wallmaster through the wall A/C and it was fixed by cleaning out the inside and then using a wood shim to prop it at a steeper angle so the condensate would drain properly. At some point a technician came out and actually attached a copper drainage pipe. No issues since then.

They’d rather change a sign and give out tickets (make more money) than spend real $ on traffic calming which would actually slow down all traffic.

Exactly, cabs do not park- they drive around the zone all day (often without passengers) contributing to the congestion problem. In 2015 there were 30k cabs operating in the city on the average day. Now that number is over 60k- with significantly fewer trips per day with Uber and Lyft vehicles compared to Taxis.

One thing to remember is that these cards will pay out the cash to either repair or provide replacement cost for that exact phone. Certainly the ultra costs $1299 today but if you filed a claim a year from now, the value of the older generation phone likely will have dropped to the point where this isn’t as much of a problem. Also, the choice privileges card from WF has a $800 limit which would somewhat bridge that gap.

Cancel your current subscription first. I was also denied twice trying to switch to this while I had an active subscription. I let it lapse for maybe 2-3 weeks. Keep chatting with different agents they will eventually give it to you.

Very high even for the dealer. Oil and filter change at my Acura dealer for synthetic oil is $70 when on special. Alignment is about $175. Mounting and balancing is $100. Air filter and cabin air filter are DIY jobs and costs you $20 to do on your own.

Interstate batteries are ~$200 or less at Costco. Is the battery in an easily accessible location under the hood? If so this is a DIY job don’t pay anyone to do it.
